Classic is a chic! Sailing between Maddalena and North Sardinia with Hostess

Unfortunately, our week was characterized by constant mistral, we were unable to see any of the beautiful beaches of the Maddalena archipelago let alone go to Corsica. Gianluca is an experienced captain who has been doing it for a long time, unfortunately the itinerary for the mistral is not up to the holiday; to cite an example we found ourselves moored two evenings outside Cannigione with its muddy green water from where we then left too late, for 11:30, to discover that the "beautiful" coves were already full of boats ... The other days didn't go much better either. The itinerary and departure times should be reviewed, as well as the use of the tender - often the only way (in extremis) to reach the beautiful coves / beaches. Another sore point of the holiday was "the hostess" - we embarked thinking of having a holiday with a professional service but we found a cumbersome and unprofessional figure who seemed to be more part of the guests than a support to the holiday, on the contrary he made the stay on the boat "challenging and unpleasant". There would be other things to add but we stop here. A holiday that definitely did not live up to expectations.

What can I say.. Avoid it, forget it! Gianluca is a know-it-all and rude person, who believes he is all him, a talk that is often heavy. Too bad we can't give zero to his rudeness. Let's say that the itinerary was based on where his skipper friends were, because according to him "he needed to be close to his friends"... for everything there was an ulterior motive... Here is an example: he took us to Cala Spalmatore, a really ugly bay, where the buoy cost us the beauty of € 250, which we could have very well saved by sleeping in the roadstead ... (According to the skipper, the bay was so beautiful, that there were only two cross boats moored, when all the other roadsteads in Sardinia were very full...). Once we arrived, he disappeared, so much so that we needed to go ashore and we waited the beauty of two hours, because he was sitting at the bar doing his own thing. Not to mention the evening. The other guys went down to take a ride on land, we stayed on the boat .. At one point a skipper friend of his, who had docked next to us, got on and they started screaming and shouting, so we had to witness a really low-level scene (also a sign of great professionalism, in front of the customers). When it is time for dinner, he looks at us and tells us "you make do for dinner, the hostess service is not there tonight".... where is it written? When did we pay the hostess for a whole week?! Scandalous! But it doesn't end there. On the last day we leave to return to the port, where according to him we had to return very early because there would have been traffic... The scheduled return time was for 18.00, too bad that at 15.40 my boyfriend and I were already sitting in the bar of the marina to have a coffee ... he didn't even make us take a last dip ... and when we returned to port there was so much traffic that we were in 2 boats. but even there we lost half the afternoon... however, we discover after less than an hour that there was an ulterior motive here too... The stewardess had an early flight..... so we had to return earlier for this reason.... Cherry on the cake, the last night spent in port, without even notifying us, since we were all still on the boat anyway, (but as always professionalism is lacking) invites a friend of his on the boat, who we then discover in the morning to have slept with us... So we were with a stranger who slept with us..... without even the slightest warning. Very bad!!!

Welcomed with great kindness by Gianluca and his hostess Agata, we set sail hopefully for a long-awaited week at sea coming from the city. Unfortunately not always in agreement with Gianluca who decided the itinerary, we found ourselves in some (ugly) unwelcome coves while in others where we were eager to go we found ourselves in front of answers such as "but Spargi is a s**t why go there?". The boat was very comfortable; If you can, choose the forward cabins which are more spacious. Agata was very kind and prepared good meals for us except for two evenings where the hostess service was lacking. I highly recommend this holiday especially to those who do not want to decide on itineraries or landings; For those who want or claim to go to some specific beaches, it is better not to leave with the idea of being able to go there. Negative note: we returned to port at 3 pm on Friday thus missing the last half day at sea due, according to the skipper, to find chaos on the way back to port.
