This experience, in a nutshell

I've been boating for 35 years after playing basketball for 20. I transferred that team spirit to sailing.

I like the atmosphere of sharing that is immediately created among the people who sail with me. I contribute by recommending if necessary the good Tuscan food and punctuating the day with excellent music !!

I love sailing as much as possible .. During longer sailings, if conditions permit, I like trolling to try to enrich the galley on board with good fish that I personally clean and cook once caught.

NB: The week described is purely indicative and can be changed according to the needs of the guests and above all to the present and expected weather conditions, it being understood that the last and unquestionable judgment is up to the Captain, responsible by law for the safety of the boat and crew and in any case with over thirty years of experience in this type of activity.

Check-in: 10:00 AM

Our trip ends here:

San Vincenzo.

Check-out: 4:00 PM

Leg 1

San Vincenzo - Capraia

Boarding in the morning, short briefing of welcome and organization then accommodation in the respective cabins. Subsequently, if it has not been done in advance, we all go together to do the galley in the supermarkets and shops of the town. On the way back to the boat we stow the supplies and then have lunch. In the very early afternoon we leave the port of San Vincenzo for Capraia where we will be able to take our first swim in the late afternoon. Night under the stars at anchor.

Leg 2

Capraia - Corsica

Departure early in the morning and sail to Corsica, often reached by sail in about 3 hours. We will find beaches and seabeds with sands of all colors where we can swim, snorkel or use canoes and paddles to explore the coast. The Tower of Santa Maria, Cala Genovese or the roadstead of the Finocchiarola Islands are the possible stops, to name the most famous in the surroundings of Macinaggio. Evening at anchor with the possibility of going ashore for an aperitif or dinner.

Leg 3

Corsica - Saint Florent

In the morning we set sail and skirting Cap Corse and the islet of Giraglia we sail along the west coast of the so-called finger, one of the wildest and most rugged places in Corsica. We pass in front of the fishing village of Centuri and descending further south we arrive in the late morning at the Caribbean beaches of Loto and Saleccia with their white sand and turquoise waters. At sunset we are at anchor in front of the town of Saint Florent with a visit or dinner on land in a typical local restaurant.

Leg 4

Corsica - Centuri / Grinding

In the morning we move for a swim and lunch under the Genoese Tower of Mortella, at the beginning of the Gulf of Saint Florent. In the afternoon, we sail back north to a sheltered roadstead, Centuri or Macinaggio depending on the weather situation, to spend the night there.

Leg 5

Goatherd

Early in the morning we set off for a sail to Capraia. Swimming and lunch at Moreto under the Zenobito Tower or in the large bay of Ceppo.

In the late afternoon coastal navigation to the port passing by the magnificent cliffs. Which characterize the Cala Rossa, symbol of Capraia.  Obligatory shore excursion, for an aperitif in the enchanted village. Dinner at the port if we have booked in advance to fully enjoy the beauty of the village of Capraia Isola.

Leg 6

Capraia - Elba

In the morning we can take a walk with shopping in search of the typical products of the island, essences and aromas directly from the Mediterranean scrub, gastronomy and oenology products or small characteristic handicrafts. Then a last swim in the crystal clear waters of the island and then bow towards Elba which we will reach after just over 3 hours spent relaxing, perhaps dedicating ourselves to trolling in one of the most fishy areas of the Ligurian Sea. Dinner and night at anchor between Marciana and Portoferraio.

Leg 7

Elba - San Vincenzo

Awakening swim in the sea, breakfast at sea and return to Marina di San Vincenzo with luggage preparation. Final greetings and disembarkation by 4 p.m.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Discovering Capraia and Corsica in 4 days from San Vincenzo

I had chosen this holiday not only for the destinations, but also for the excellent reviews. Mine would like not only to confirm all the good things already said, but would like to emphasize that, for a good holiday, the skipper (Andrea) must be added to the company (mine is excellent). It was an escalation of positive emotions. All different moments: from fishing and its immediate cuisine, to sailing, to serene evenings in the roadstead and in port, to the flexibility given to guests and finally in a pleasant, polite and well-received Tuscan sarcasm. I go back by boat with him. Fair winds!

We had an unforgettable holiday on board the [hidden] boat, thanks to Andrea, skipper-doge, who turned out to be the real king of the boat. Andrea is an excellent skipper: calm and calm, he knows how to keep the boat under control with an ever-watchful eye. The boat, lived-in and well cared for, makes you feel at home immediately. We were warmly welcomed with wine, binoculars to admire the view and background music that made the atmosphere even more pleasant. The sea gave us a sunny and temperate July, ideal for sailing. The stops in Capraia and Corsica were a real revelation. These small city jewels are absolutely worth a visit. During the trip, we had the pleasure of meeting Alessio, Andrea's childhood friend, nicknamed the Doge's friend. Alessio was a pleasant travel companion and a valid second co-driver. This is the second time I have done this holiday and I can only recommend it to all those who want to relax, leave their thoughts on the ground and know how to look BEYOND!

Thank you Commander Andrea ???? for these wonderful days. Andrea, with his silences marked by a sharp and intelligent irony, accompanied us (and put up with you ????????????) between the beach and wonderful coves, making us discover gems of every place. Sun, sea, wind, laughter and Pastis... what else ?
