This experience, in a nutshell

We have almost 20 years of experience in organising sailing holidays in Greece and Caribbean, having thousands of happy customers on board our boats from all over the world.  Last year we were appreciated by the Guardian in 10 best sailing holidays in Europe.

A typical day with us: Wake up, eat breakfast prepared by Aga, have some coffee in the village or a little walk to stretch the legs before we sail away. We tend to sail for a few hours each day before we reach a beautiful bay with a desert beach. Then we have time for snorkelling, swimming, sunbathing, exploring bay/island, reading books etc. Chef will prepare lunch (greek salad seems perfect for the hot day), have some down time, maybe even a little siesta before we sail away. Spend the afternoon sailing and for those that wish, chance to learn how to steer, pull a rope, tie a knot or for others it can be a time to relax and sunbathe on deck. Before the evening comes, we will reach a new island, moor in a lovely small village and explore the new place (they say sunset in Hydra is even better than in Santorini!) As a rule of thumb, in the evening we go to a traditional Taverna to try some awesome local food as well as the delicious greek wine, dance, listen to live music and relax! No hurry, that is our main theme. :)

During all our trips we try to stay far away from tourist crowds - in the small harbours or on anchorages next to desert islands. Each day we stop for swimming in beautiful bays - some of them completely wild, others with one small taverna, serving for lunch fresh fish and seafood (often taken out of the water before our eyes). Friendly local people and lots of tasty food and wine are the common features for all the islands that we visit.

We can accommodate all dietary needs: vegan, vegetarian, gluten free etc (Aga is gluten free so understands very well when guests are on special diet). We use only organic, local and healthy ingredients like homemade sheep and goat feta, organic olive oil coming from our friend’s olive trees, fish and seafood from local fishermen and fruits and veggies from local markets (or friend’s gardens like our lemons or figs!). We don’t use white sugar or processed food/ingredients. On board we make breakfast and lunch, evening we either go to the tavernas together or recommend the best restaurants for our guests to enjoy the time on their own.

We are both well-skilled sailors so taking part in sailing maneuvers is optional for those who would like to learn and spend their holidays in an active way. We teach sailing basics, safety on board, knots, steering, mooring ect. No sailing experience is needed. Those who just wish to sunbathe and relax on deck are free to do so. Additionally, Greg is an  (ISSA) instructor with the possibility to issue a skipper certificate. Guests can expect nothing less than an absolute sense of security as well as putting their comfort and needs as a highest priority. We put love and care into everything we do!

Volos

Volos is one of the largest and most beautiful Greek cities, and is the perfect place to begin your charter for the Sporades. Authentic cafes and restaurants line the picturesque seafront of Volos, where you can enjoy delicious seafood, and try the traditional spirit Tsipouro. Take a walk into the charming city centre, dotted with elegant neoclassical buildings and historic churches.

Leg 2

Trikeri

Trikeri - The unknown island of bliss. One of Greece's lesser-known gems. A true piece of paradise, the island of Paleo Trikeri is pure and unspoiled. Covered by dense vegetation, mainly olive groves, the picturesque landscape adds to its peaceful charm. There are no cars or roads on the island.

Leg 3

Skiathos/Skopelos

Skiathos and Skopelos, were the enchanting backdrop for the beloved ABBA musical film Mamma Mia!. Skiathos, with its vibrant nightlife and stunning beaches, was the perfect setting for lively scenes, while Skopelos provided a picturesque haven with its charming traditional architecture and lush greenery. The film beautifully highlighted the islands natural beauty, attracting countless fans eager to experience the magic of the locations. Iconic spots, such as the famed church of Agios Ioannis, have since become pilgrimage sites for fans, enhancing the islands allure as a travel destination.

Leg 4

Skiathos/Skopelos

Aside from the popular spots on the main islands, the Sporades islands offer much more untouched, uninhabited beauty, perfectly explored under sail. They have a good balance of bustling harbours, authentic tavernas and sleepy anchorages, perfect for swimming, snorkelling, and relaxation.

Skopelos, noted for its breathtaking landscapes and traditional architecture, awaits with its magnificent beaches and culinary delights. A highlight of this island is its local speciality, Strifti cheese pie. Skopelos also gained fame as a filming location for the hit movie Mamma Mia!, attracting visitors eager to recreate the film’s magical moments.

Leg 5

Skiros

On Skyros one can find beautiful villages, crystal clear waters, golden sandy beaches, stunning landscapes and the famous local horses, the Skyrian ponies; their height does not exceed 1.10 meters. Enwrapped by the blue waters of the Aegean Sea, with lush vegetation and spectacular morphology, it is the perfect destination for pleasure and enjoyment. Several myths of Greek Mythology referring to legendary heroes such as Lykomedes, Theseus, Achilles and Neoptolemus, are connected with the island of Skyros. A plethora of conquerors left behind their traces over the centuries, which is perfectly illustrated on the island’s traditions, customs and architecture.

Leg 6

island Kea

Kea or Tzia is a beautiful island with stunning beaches, shipwrecks and unique hiking trails. for the past 60 years or so Kea has been the secret weekend getaway island for well-heeled Athenians who come on a Friday evening to hide away in their holiday homes. Kea is a slightly mysterious island. It is one of the largest in the Cyclades and there are loads of excellent beaches, many archaeological sites and one of the most amazing traditional villages in Greece. Kea has a lot to offer and until the island gets it's tourism into motion you can experience a Greece that has begun to disappear.

Leg 7

Lavrio

Our final destination! the town of Lavrion not only boasts a remarkable history, but also rewards the visitor with a transcendent ambiance that is really hard to find elsewhere. As if in an open-air museum, in Lavrio wherever you turn your gaze you’ll see traces of the town’s mining history. It is also the place with one of the best fish and seafood tavernas, so the culinary experience is amazing! A visit to one of the local taverns for freshly grilled or fried fish against the backdrop of the authentic marble slabs on which fishermen sell their wares is a must.

Lavrio

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

What a wonderful week with Aga, Greg and the other travellers. Magnificent landscapes of course but also and above all a great crew who made us discover the less touristy places, delighted us with an exceptional cuisine and the boat is beautiful and very comfortable. Only positive. We will be back for sure!

The boat and the scenery are great, and Aga’s food is simply the most amazing fresh food I’ve ever eaten in my whole life. I’m not giving five stars for two reasons: first, the advertisement mentioned air conditioning, but most nights I felt really hot, as the AC was only turned on for one hour on one night during my trip. Second, at times it felt a bit like a military camp, with the captain being quite impolite with no excuse.
