This experience, in a nutshell

Our flotillas are like the waves of the sea, no two are the same, but the sound of the surf is guaranteed.

We have many variations and travel possibilities, with different moods and many activities to do together: the success of a flotilla is in fact given by the chemistry that arises in the crews, the friendliness of the staff, the ability of the skippers and the knowledge of the places of the organization... more than a resort-style calendar of activities. It is said that a boat is like an island, but a flotilla is like an archipelago: the boats always sail and live together without ever losing sight of each other. And this is a must in Marmaglia.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE FLOTILLA IN IONIAN GREECE:

• In this sailing area there is no Melteni, instead a gentle thermal wind rises, as punctual as a Swiss clock, at lunchtime that allows us to move sailing every day;

• We will sail every day, changing islands daily;

• During the week we will organize fun regattas that always involve all boats and crews;

• We will reach various beaches and islets of the archipelago, perfect for organizing rowing championships or flag-stealing Olympics and group games;

Muscle awakening at the bow of one of the large monohulls to recover from the excesses of night parties;

• Visit to places of historical and cultural interest on some of the islands that we will reach during the holiday (such as the small port of Kion or the famous shipwreck beach in Zakynthos);

• Group moorings and packages to party all together: from the guitar evening to sing all together under the stars the classics of Italian song, fun themed parties and DJ sets to pull the sunrise dancing and flirting;

Aperitifs and dinners on land, in typical restaurants selected by our staff, to fully immerse yourself in Greek traditions and atmosphere.

Discover the islands of our route in the section dedicated to the itinerary.

The itinerary and events are indicative and subject to possible changes based on weather conditions and safety. Skippers are excluded from all expenses incurred by the crews during the holiday.

First experience on a sailing boat: a nice adventure with some ideas for improvement Since this is my first time on a sailing boat, the final balance is certainly positive. It was an enriching experience and the group turned out to be very pleasant, although there are some aspects that could make the trip even more comfortable and inclusive for the participants. Value of experience and galley management: The overall cost was a bit high compared to the services included. ( at the time of booking it must be specified that in addition to the initial expense there are other expenses, this has not been specified. For example.. fuel, water supply galley starter pack..... this is specified only once you have booked) Being at the first experience, we would have liked to have had extra support from the skipper or in any case from the organizational group at the time of the initial expense: a little advice to optimize the galley and avoid the superfluous (perhaps buying the rest gradually in the ports) would have been really useful. ( example once the excel has been filled in, the organizers with more experience than us can remove what seems extra to them ... instead of "scolding" each other because we did our own thing. Involvement in maneuvers: It is good to warn and know that it is an active holiday: even without any previous experience, you get involved and there is an absolute need to help the skipper during maneuvers and navigation, which makes you feel part of the crew but you need to be educated just in case. Group and fleet dynamics: Over half of the group already knew each other, and for those who struggle a little more to integrate or leave alone, this can create a small initial obstacle. To facilitate friendships, it would be great if the organization included more moments of sharing between the three boats, perhaps supporting them during the afternoon stops and not just the two evenings of sharing to really make the experience live as one big group. A trip that leaves a good memory and that I would do again, with the hope that these suggestions can help the organization to make the experience even more welcoming for future participants.

Marmaglia weaves similar ropes that can immediately be easily joined with a flat knot and at the end of the holiday, despite feeling a tangle of emotions, they realize that in the end they have formed a lasting knot like the lover's soda. The organization has been attentive to every detail and has been ready to update the itinerary based on the weather forecast, allowing us to experience a holiday in complete safety away from summer storms. All the staff of Marmaglia has always been ready to handle every little unforeseen event and has allowed us to experience a 10/10 holiday! Yes, you leave as strangers and you come back that you have become part of a family! Thank you Marmaglia! See you soon ☺️

Unfortunately due to Meltemi we had to totally change the initial itinerary by falling back on the Saronic islands, consequently we did not see the Cyclades at all. Apart from this inconvenience all good!
