This experience, in a nutshell

Imagine letting yourself be lulled by the gentle waves of the Tyrrhenian Sea, while the wind caresses your face and envelops you in an embrace of freedom. Welcome aboard the three beautiful sailboats that make up our flotilla, ready to sail together the crystal clear waters of Tuscany and beyond.
Here, the watchword is sociality: a group of like-minded souls, of all ages, united by the desire to discover, share and connect with the sea and with each other. It's not just a vacation, but an experience that feeds on laughter, engaging conversations, and moments of authentic intimacy.

The days unfold in an enchanting mix of coastal explorations and sailings between the islands of the Tuscan archipelago and Corsica. Along the coast, quaint towns overlook golden beaches and rocky headlands, while the scent of maritime pines and broom mingles with the salty ocean. Between one anchorage and another, the boats become the stage for magical moments: candlelit dinners under a starry sky, chatting on the bow as the sun sinks on the horizon, and laughter resounding along the boat as the sails swell in the wind. But it's not just the sea: the Tuscan hinterland offers breathtaking landscapes, dotted with vineyards, olive groves and medieval villages that seem suspended in time. Here you can breathe history and savor the authentic flavors of local cuisine, perhaps in the company of new friends with whom to share the discoveries of the day.

And who knows, between a laugh and a sunset, something magical could happen: an attraction that arises between two glances, a connection that intensifies under the starry sky. Because on this journey, in addition to discovering the beauty of the outside world, you can also find yourself and perhaps, why not, fall in love again. This is not just a holiday, it is an opportunity to live authentic experiences, create unbreakable bonds and fill the heart with indelible memories. Welcome on board, where the sea is our travel companion and friendship is our compass.

Meeting time Saturday from 14:00. From about 18:00, as soon as we have the boats available, we load luggage and galley to leave immediately, the skippers will show you how best to organize the refrigerator. Unlike the other flotillas, we want to spend the first evening at sea and not in port.

Leg 1

Marina di Scarlino

Saturday afternoon: Boarding in Scarlino with a meeting at 2 p.m.
Nestled between the stunning Maremma region and the Tuscan Archipelago, just a few miles from the island of Elba, Marina di Scarlino is one of the safest and most secure marinas in the Mediterranean.
From about 6 p.m., as soon as we have the boats available, we will load luggage and galley to leave immediately, the skippers will show you how best to organize the refrigerator. Unlike other flotillas we want to spend the first evening at sea and not in port!

Leg 2

Island of Elba

We leave early in the morning. We will sail towards Elba and drop anchor at one of the most famous beaches in the municipality of Rio Marina. The bay of Ortano is famous for its transparent waters, perfect for snorkeling. Stop for lunch and swimming in one of the coves in the north of Elba, and then head towards Portoferraio. In case it is not relaxing to stop there, we will move to Marciana Marina, where we will spend the night at anchor.

Leg 3

Goatherd

Monday Route to Capraia, the magical island of sailors. Capraia offers great emotions to sea lovers, with its beautiful coastline and seabed to explore. Night at anchor or in the charming and very small port of Marina di Capraia.

Leg 4

Saint Florent

Tuesday: Early in the morning we set sail for Corsica and its beautiful waters. During the navigation we will round Cap Corse and take a refreshing swim, in the evening we will land in the bay of Saint Florent, with a stop at anchor or in port, depending on availability. Saint Florent is a lively and trendy town, full of charm, ideal for an aperitif and an evening all together.

Leg 5

Saleccia

Wednesday: The Agriates Desert awaits us, renowned for its white sandy beaches, among which one of the most beautiful and famous is certainly Plage de Saleccia. After a day of sun and swimming in turquoise waters, in the evening we return to Saint Florent to spend the night in the bay.

Leg 6

Cap Corse

Thursday: Setting sail in the morning we will sail back to Cap Corse and then head to Cape San Andrea on Elba. After a swim in Fetovaia, one of the most evocative beaches of the island, characterized by fine and golden granite sand, in the evening we will reach the large and comfortable roadstead of Marina di Campo and we will discover its picturesque historic center, with its characteristic marina. Marina di Campo has been, since the 50s, one of the historic places of international tourism in Elba, so much so that it is called La piccola Viareggio.

Leg 7

Return to Elba

Friday: Breakfast and then stop for a swim in one of the many bays on the south coast of Elba, where we will stop for lunch. In the afternoon, after a last swim in the clear waters of Elba, we sailed back to Scarlino and arrived at 5 pm in the Marina. We will have one last dinner together with the hope of seeing each other again soon.

Leg 8

Marina di Scarlino

Saturday: Breakfast and disembarkation by 9:00 a.m.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

La Flottiglia Mediterranea: Capri, Ischia, Procida e le isole Pontine

Since I first tasted the sailing holiday I realized that I could no longer do without it. Specifically, this holiday was characterized by a really competent and helpful captain (Andrea) as well as a crew that tacitly divided the various activities. It was a shame not to be able to see Capri but the mere did not allow it. The other wonderful islands! The clean and spacious boat with a super equipped kitchen where our lovely Carmen prepared many good dishes! An experience that I recommend to everyone at least once in a lifetime!

Good morning, unfortunately my assessment cannot be positive. The organization was quite approximate as a boat was rented and a skipper was recovered who had never seen either the places or the boat and practically we never interacted with the other boats in the flotilla. I was also disappointed by the beautiful places, the villages, but a little disappointed by the sea, I thought it was more beautiful, perhaps because in beautiful places such as chiaia di luna or the blue grotto we did not go and in Palmarola instead of docking in front of a beach we went in front of a stretch of high coast with not even a insenatura.la new boat in some ways even beautiful in my opinion it was for six people not for 8, considering the cost I think the bunk bed is not adequate because in the upper part the space in height is less than 40 cm. FORTUNATELY THE TRAVEL COMPANIONS WERE WONDERFUL. This is my second holiday with sailsquare, very good the first but very bad the second. I hope my review serves to improve Greetings

The Wild Flotilla: dive into the wild nature of Tuscany and Corsica

Simply unforgettable experience. The Flotilla was able to form a fantastic group with whom I spent beautiful moments in equally beautiful places. A special thanks to our skipper who made us enjoy the holiday to the fullest by making us have fun and at the same time teaching us the basics of sailing with a sailboat. It made us feel comfortable even though it was their first boat experience for many. We sailed in complete safety whenever the weather allowed and bathed in crystal clear water. I highly recommend the experience for those who want to spend a week of lightheartedness and fun pampered by the waves of the sea.

The Wild Flotilla: dive into the wild nature of Tuscany and Corsica

The truths without secrets that everyone is ashamed to tell to make a good impression in reviews. I will limit myself to talking about the holiday just taken, because Sailsquare, in itself, needs something exclusively dedicated, and it is not all roses and flowers. I am also sorry that the agency with which I traveled takes the outburst accumulated in recent years that I have always kept silent, since I found myself better than other times. It is inappropriate that the organization, (as always happened) chooses and decides the division of the crew into the flotilla boats without knowing anything about the participants and without even a previous individual cognitive test, as has also happened to me on other occasions with different organizers. You can be lucky, but most of the time it is not certain. Maybe first someone who already knows each other and who requests it is brought together, and then puts the leftovers all together, with nothing in common. This is decisive for the progress of the whole week, and those who then say "we will always be all together" are not credible at all. In fact, it is already clear that it will be the opposite. At least on this occasion the composition and choice of rooms was free, even if dictated by the first grouping in the boat, already pre-established. I enjoyed the holiday. Interesting experience overall. The bad weather of the last few days has ruined some plans. I am very satisfied and relieved by the pleasant people who were part of my crew unlike other experiences lived on the boat, and there are still those shortcomings that make you think, including... the "fiesta" in the boat where you would have liked to be, with people with whom you would have liked to share more than brief fleeting encounters, during the few disorganized stops together, and consequently I was therefore disappointed that the flotilla was NOT really a flotilla, also determined by the skippers who did not favor the meeting and the meetings with all the participants (who else should have done it?), thinking only of one's crew, and among other things also mooring too far away in the roadstead day and night (since in the port you cannot choose the place), leaving and arriving at different times, sometimes avoiding going ashore or meeting all together, as well as sailing, proposing and promoting the meeting starting from the simple group dinner. Events that happened ONCE in a week do not make these a peculiarity, because it was a daily and continuous expectation. And if someone is okay with it, because he left with the intention of seeking tranquility, he could easily have chosen from the hundreds of proposals without a flotilla with 3-4 people on the boat. In the same way as those who want to appear in a group photo and force others not to post it on social media because they don't want to be seen. Everyone thinks these things, but no one has the courage to say them unlike me. The use of the tender, included in the very expensive starter pack, could have been used more than once throughout the week. I don't deny that the skipper was capable and funny, however he should have pleased the crew and not kept us segregated on the boat away from anyone just because he didn't want to get out of it, being aware in the meantime of the other crew going ashore. Of the people of the other crews present I have absolutely nothing: no bonds, faint memories, very brief experiences lived together that could not be deepened for what has just been said. Leaving aside the costs of travel to reach the place of departure (plane, train, bus, car) as in all holidays, on the boat the expense becomes extremely excessive (referring to all the experiences proposed by the site): it is like paying € 1000 for a week in a 5-star hotel without having (and having to pay a lot to get them) sheets, towels, room cleaning, no meals, and every time you want to sleep at night in the bed you have to pay to do it (in port), except if you sleep on the ground (in the roadstead). The crews of the boats as if they were on different floors of the hotel (on the first, fifth and tenth), not connected to each other and only the skipper with the keys to the elevator, unless you climb from the outside (i.e. you reach it by swimming, but how do you do it at night?): our skipper preferred to stay on his floor. I say this for all the initiatives: it is ridiculous that in addition to the initial expense you still have to add money to have sheets, towels (by the way always stained), final cleaning, meals purchased and cooked by yourself, fuel, moorings at the ports. The price for joining the experience is far from irrelevant, especially choosing the flotilla vacation, and a person chooses the flotilla to do the vacation in a group and especially WITH the group, rather than just with the few fellow travelers they already see 24 hours a day. I also seemed to have understood the presence of a quota made available for unforeseen events that should have been used to pay for the additional night in the port where we stopped a second night due to bad weather, but there was no mention of it at the appropriate time and not even later; as well as a deposit that would have been returned in the absence of damage to the boat: who has talked about it anymore? Where does this money go?
