LAST POSITION MAN!
Get on board with us for a week in the heat of the Canary Islands : a unique and unparalleled microcosm a few hours by plane from Italy.
We will sail with an Oceanis 473, wide and comfortable sailing boat, and we will go to the discovery of the largest protected marine reserve in Europe hoping to meet also the dolphins and the great blue whale.
We will visit Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura which, although close, are very different: Fuerteventura is characterized by a semi-desert landscape, being the closest to the Sahara , and has many beaches of fine white sand with crystal clear water; Gran Canaria is instead an island of lush nature, characterized by black lava coasts overlooking the sea and the golden sand dunes of Maspalomas that, in contrast to the intense blue color of the nearby ocean waters give a breathtaking spectacle. The islands are located west of the tropical area of Morocco and are strongly influenced by the warm winds of the Sahara. The air temperature will therefore never drop below 24 ° and that of the sea below 21 ° making these islands an ideal place for an unforgettable holiday on a sailboat. The itinerary will be confirmed according to the weather. No sailing experience is required.
OUR MAXIMUM PROGRAM:
We will embark on Saturday, December 30 from Las Palmas on the island of Gran Canaria and, after making the galley, we will leave for the beautiful Playa Maspalomas on the south coast of the island. On New Year's Eve we will be in Playa del Inglés where we can choose among the numerous restaurants on the sea, enjoy the fireworks on the beach and, for those who wish, go dancing in one of the local area.
With the new year we will leave the mundane Gran Canaria to head in the enchanting and wild Fuerteventura. The crossing between the two islands will be pleasant, not binding, and we will arrive in the quaint village of Morro Jable on the south coast of Fuerteventura. In the following days we will move along the east coast, leeward, thus avoiding the part most exposed to winds and Atlantic waves. We will relax in the most beautiful and famous white sand beaches including: Playa de Sotavento, Playa de Costa Calma, Caleta de Fuste, Playa de Cofete and many others.
We will return to Gran Canaria halfway through our cruise. The island offers beautiful places to visit as the lonely and slightly wild bay of Gui Gui where you can enjoy the fascinating profile of the Teide volcano in the distance and Las Salinas in the quaint village of Las Nieves. The Playa de Mogan of the homonymous village, the rocky Playa de Guayedra dotted with volcanic black stones and the quiet cove of Faneroque also deserve a stop.
We will spend a week in the company of intense days dedicated to relaxation and navigation, pleasant evenings on the ground in the most characteristic places, aperitifs on the great ocean beaches and dinners in the cockpit sipping a glass of wine.
