Brief description of the holiday
Leaving from the well-equipped Capo d’Orlando marina, we will set sail towards Alicudi and Filicudi’s enchantment. We will snorkel and free dive in the islands’ rich yet unspoiled waters and explore ancient trails while enjoying the calm of a timeless spot. Furthermore, be advised to dive with us in Filicudi to discover its peculiar and fascinating volcanic seabeds. The following stop is in Salina, famous for its green slopes growing grapes and capers and its well-known beach of Pollara. Finally Lipari, with the unreal colors of its pumice beach and the Greek-flavored atmosphere of its old town. Later on, we will encounter its majesty Vulcano with its massive shape. Last but not the least, Capo Milazzo, where we will explore the newest Marine Protected Area which is quickly repopulating the sea. During your holiday, as we are both PADI Scuba Instructors, you can dive with us or, if you’re not certified yet, go through a try-dive or a full Open Water course.
Jeanneau Sun Odyssesy 45.2
The boat is a Sun Odyssey 45.2 designed by the famous French house Jeanneau. Our version is the one with 4 double cabins and 2 bathrooms with shower, perfect for both individual boarding and chartering with family or friends.
Built in 1999 but registered for the first time in 2004, it is a boat with elegant and balanced lines, preceding those that are certainly spacious but certainly clumsy and less performing than the most recent models.
Charm and comfort go hand in hand: inside warm woods in excellent condition make up a perfectly functional lounge, with a large and very bright dinette; outside, the spacious cockpit with easy access to the sea and the uncluttered and wide teak deck ensure a real communion with the elements.
Although not a racing boat, it is carefully armed so that sailing is exciting. Oversized winches and sails in excellent condition (including a specially installed gennaker) are just some of the key elements.
Finally, the stowage spaces are multiple and capacious. Note the huge bow-lift in which it will be possible to store diving equipment.

Other important information
Once you are at Palermo Airport you can easily reach us by taxi, train, bus or we can organize a private transfer. To come back from Capo d’Orlando you can rather get the train, a bus or the private transfer. The suitcase should be soft (preferably no trolley) and light: a few clothes, flip-flops or open sandals, only the most essential bathroom products (preferably natural to limit the impact on the sea) and non-oil-based sun creams (also these possibly eco-friendly). No shoes with heels but yes to trekking shoes if you plan to go hiking. No hairdryer too (we have one on board which only works if we are in port). Diving and snorkeling equipment are welcome, especially if in non-rigid bags, but we have masks and snorkels on board for those without them. After making galley together or according to previous agreements, we will be in charge of cooking and you will just have to relax. We all will only be careful not to waste light and water.
