This experience, in a nutshell

Get on board with our association to spend a weekend with your friends or your family. The Gulf of Poets, in addition to the beauty of its landscapes, offers a perfect marine environment for navigation: the protected sea space inside the Gulf is wide and sailing is allowed even in the large port. The wind, especially in the afternoon, is almost always present. An ideal place to surf. But also where to enjoy the bays, the sun and the sea.

Life on board is relaxed and fun, making new friends and working together to manage common life. Who wants to can enjoy the sun and those who want to learn, will find in our skipper a valid teacher who will gladly give the helm to those who want to try their hand at it, supporting it with valuable advice. On board, everyone can freely choose whether to relax and enjoy the holiday in complete serenity, or whether to try to get in the game by experimenting with maneuvers or taking the helm (under the supervision of the skipper). Everyone is asked only to participate in the life on board, everyone as he wants and can do, in an atmosphere of fun and mutual collaboration.

Rough weekend program: The program we thought will allow you to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Gulf of La Spezia :

Friday evening we will be boarding and accommodation in the cabins, then a brief briefing by the skipper on the life on board and the safety equipment. For dinner you will go ashore to taste the local seafood delicacies.

On Saturday morning we will sail to admire Portovenere from the sea, with the ancient church of San Lorenzo, Doria castle and the cave of Byron . Then we will visit the island of Palmaria , with its beautiful coves, where we can stop for a nice swim, the Tino islet and the small Tinetto. In the evening we will anchor in the canal in front of Porto Venere to admire all its beauty even at night.

On Sunday morning we will head to the village of Tellaro, reviewed as one of the most beautiful in Italy, and on our return we'll stop in the Bay of Lerici, which with its beautiful castle will be the setting for another regenerative stop and our lunch Alternatively, if the weather and sea conditions allow it and the guests will request it, on Saturday morning we will be able to head north and walk along the Cinque Terre which we will reach in about 3 hours of navigation. In Vernazza we could disembark with the typical Ligurian gozzo of Tonino (which will come to take us on board to accompany us to the ground), while in Monterosso it will be possible to stop at anchor for the night and go ashore with the rubber dinghy. On Sunday we will resume the sea to sail towards the return.

NB: The program may undergo variations based on the weather and sea conditions and the choices of guests on board

L'Île de Beauté: sailing in Corsica with night return

If you are looking for a skipper you can trust 100% while sailing, Sandro is definitely the person for you. Be aware, however, that the price to pay is to accept his abrupt, gruff and not always properly polite ways. Its ability to interpret the sea is inversely proportional to its ability to make you feel at ease on board. For him, passengers are basically a nuisance. If, like me, you are at your first experience on a boat, ask questions that seem obvious to him or you make mistakes simply dictated by lack of experience, everything becomes even more complicated... for him and for you! Added to this is practically non-existent communication and explanations reduced to a minimum. But, on the other hand, every coin has its downside and, in this wonderful boat experience, I got to know both sides of the coin. On the one hand, an extremely competent skipper, able to read the sea and convey confidence. On the other, a man with decidedly unaccommodating manners. In the end, it's up to you to decide which of the two weighs more.

Nice experience, too bad the little wind for navigation but the important thing is to have been well in excellent company. Thank you Sandro for always indulging us and making us safe! Fair winds!

Genuine experience! The boat, in general, is not comfortable ... sharing confined spaces even with unknown people is a challenging test. Sandro's hospitality and the luck of having met an excellent travel companion like Simone, made the first experience on board my family a very pleasant adventure that fascinated us and involved us strongly Sandro is a rough sea dog with a heart of gold, extremely in love with the sea and his boat that he takes care of from every point of view: order, cleanliness and small details not to be underestimated... there is also a basil plant for cooking use It was very pleasant to listen to him in giving us the basic rudiments of sailing and in his stories of life lived between myth and reality The wind gave us a great gift and allowed us to travel practically always under sail; the landscape and the sea of Elba..... The icing on the cake We came back very satisfied and enriched by this experience that we will certainly repeat Nicoletta & family
