This holiday has already taken place!
Have a look at similar experiences to "Pontine, Procida and Ischia on maxi 18m sailing yacht with Skipper and Hostess"!
Sunday
The appointment for the meeting is set for 10:00 at the Marina di Gaeta. After arranging the galley and the luggage in the cabins, we are ready for the first sailing of the holiday, destination: Procida! Surprisingly, we will take a swim on the high seas where the cobalt blue color will envelop us in unique sensations. Upon arrival, the colorful landscape of the Procidian houses will fill our eyes with wonder and will welcome us on a walk through its streets. We will spend the night in the harbor lulled by the waves of the sea in front of the town.
Monday
After breakfast we set sail for Ischia where a well-deserved swim awaits us in Punta Sant'Angelo, one of the most fascinating villages on the island. Oasis of peace and tranquility. After enjoying a good lunch we head towards the Aragonese Castle of Ischia with the possibility of making a splendid shore excursion. Unique viewpoints in the world, history, monuments dating back to several centuries ago, make the Castle one of the main attractions of Ischia and often hosts art and painting exhibitions, meetings and cultural events. Impossible not to see it, impossible not to visit it. We will spend the night under the castle admiring the lights reflected on the water and dreaming of ladies and knights who have passed through here.
Tuesday
After a good breakfast, we will raise anchor to head towards Ventotene, an island rich in history and uncontaminated sea and land landscapes and known to the Greeks as a "pandataria", that is, the giver of all good. Quiet, wild and far from mass tourism, the island is frequented by sailors and passing tourists, looking for a relaxing holiday that has stopped in time. Ventotene offers many sheltered beaches and coves, overlooking crystal clear waters, so much so that many are part of the protected marine area and one of these will be our destination for a nice swim. The overnight stay will be done at the marina located in the ancient Roman Port whose remains are still visible today. It is a basin dug into the tuff and a walk along the pier will allow us to notice how the tuff caves dug by the Romans now house shops, tourist offices and diving centers, while at the entrance to the port you can see the tuff caves large bollards that anchored Roman merchant ships. We will enjoy a good dinner ashore in one of the typical restaurants of the island.
Wednesday
After refueling with water and breakfast, we leave for Palmarola. We will have lunch enjoying some delicacies and spend the afternoon in total relaxation, being able to choose whether to drop anchor in Cala del Porto and why not, also at the Spermaturo rock or at Cala Brigantina, considered by many to be the most beautiful landing place in the whole Mediterranean. The sunset can then be a good reason to have a sparkling aperitif on the boat, followed by a delicious dinner. The bay will then welcome us for the night among the stars and rocking our dreams.
Thursday
Breakfast and off to discover Ponza and its beautiful bays. There are 41 km of coasts of the island and are very jagged with tuffaceous rocks, with inlets, coves and stacks. From the Roman caves of Pilate to the Faraglioni della Madonna, to the famous Chiaia di Luna, a fascinating sandy cove dominated by an imposing cliff. Or Capo Bianco famous for its tunnel and why not the Lucia Rosa beach famous for its sunsets. But still Cala Fonte, Cala Felci, Cala Gaetano, Spaccapolipo, Cala Inferno with its white wall next to the Core beach, famous for its heart drawn in the rock. We are spoiled for choice. We will then spend the night in the harbor in front of the town with the possibility after dinner to go down and enjoy the Ponza atmosphere, peeking into some small shop.
Friday
After breakfast we leave the moorings and head towards Gaeta. The sailing that awaits us will be an opportunity to learn the basics of sailing by alternating at the helm and adjusting the halyards and sheets just like a real sailing crew. We will have lunch while sailing until we reach the bay that will allow us to take a well-deserved swim. We will then place ourselves in a strategic position overlooking the Castle of Gaeta, also known as the Angevin-Aragonese, built on a rocky spur reaching out to the sea. This last evening we will dedicate it to a good dinner on the ground to tell us around a table and with a good glass of wine in hand, the experiences lived during the holiday.
Saturday
Packed your bags and drank the last coffee together we enter the port. It is now time to say goodbye, but we take home many emotions, happy moments and incredible sunsets. We say goodbye by 10 am.
Comfortable cutter rigged maxi yacht, plenty of space both below deck and outside. Covered entirely in teak, spacious interior in well finished wood.
Oceanic boat of good marine qualities. Numerous refit works have been done on the boat, especially as regards the interior, the beds, bathrooms and cushions have been completely redone.

TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING
THE ROUTE: the itinerary shown is a rough indication of the route, as by its very nature, traveling by sea makes it impossible to respect a detailed program, as it is influenced by weather and sea conditions. For safety reasons, the skipper's judgment regarding navigation and any changes to the program is unquestionable. Overnight stays are planned in the harbor except for one in the port. In case of bad weather the skipper must remain in the port or in a protected bay and not subject the boat and crew to a stressful navigation. In case this eventuality should occur, do not get angry for not sailing, it is part of the game, you will find alternative activities to spend an excellent day in company, in port or at anchor.
SHEET SERVICE: possibility to use sheets on board at € 15 per week per person. Includes sheet kit and pillowcase. Blankets and pillows always available.
EXTRA NIGHT: for convenience, those wishing to arrive the day before boarding, upon agreement with the skipper, can book an additional night on board at a cost of € 30 per person.
WHAT TO BRING: the best clothing is undoubtedly comfortable and sporty. Rubber shoes with a white bottom for those who want to wear them on the boat and another pair for walks on land. Comfortable trousers, T-shirts, a sweatshirt and a light waterproof jacket to shelter from the wind during the day and from humidity in the evening. A light hat with a peak is essential to protect yourself from the sun and another warmer one to protect yourself from humidity and wind. Blankets and pillows are available on board but bring a pillowcase and sheets or sleeping bag. Don't forget a beach towel and a personal hygiene towel, marine soap, a high protection factor sunscreen and a moisturizing after-sun cream. For those who have difficulty sleeping with background noise or are a light sleeper, we recommend ear plugs. Bring slippers, various swimsuits, socks, gym suit, backpack or beach bag for excursions, sunglasses, preferably with a lanyard, cell phone charger, various medicines, mask, fins. Since we will go ashore, perhaps for a dinner, if you want to bring clothes and shoes for the occasion. All stored in a soft bag that is easy to stow (NO rigid bags).
COMMON CASH: at the beginning of the cruise, guests will form the common fund by paying a sum that on average is around € 25-30 per person per day. This will be used for all common expenses during the cruise such as food, fuel and overnight stays in port, etc. A member among the guests will take care of its custody and management.
GALLEY: on the morning of departure, all together will do the galley. After a basic list agreed with all the guests, everyone will give vent to their needs and desires, after all you are on vacation. As the port of Punta Ala is easily reachable by car, you can already bring a large part of the galley from home and thus save time and money, as there is only a small market at the port.
TYPICAL DAY: every morning, if we have slept in the bay, when we wake up, there is the possibility to take a dip in our huge private swimming pool followed by a nice breakfast. We set off for the first sailing to drop anchor in a nearby harbor, where we could relax and maybe go swimming or with the tender to the beach, or stay on board. After lunch, a bit of relaxation. In the afternoon another sail will take us to moor for the night in another bay that could also be near a small port. In the latter case there will be the possibility to go ashore with the tender and spend the evening in the alleys, markets and clubs in the area. During navigation, the skipper must supervise the route. Sharing is the key word.
HOSTESS ON BOARD: On board with us ILARIA, 48 years old, our legendary hostess-cook, will take care of the preparation of the meals that we will establish together and of the cleaning and tidying of the dinette / cockpit.
TEACHING: anyone who is interested in learning how to sail, the skipper will be happy to teach the maneuvers and the fundamental principles for running a sailboat, in absolute fun and at no extra charge, so finally you will learn what it means to "fuck the mainsail".
HEALTH: it is mandatory to report any personal limitations due to health, disability or other, both at the time of booking and at boarding, which may in some way make it difficult for you or other people to enjoy the holiday. The captain may refuse to accept on board persons deemed unsuitable for navigation. In the event of failure to report, no refund request will be taken into consideration following non-acceptance on board by the captain of the boat.
PERSONAL DOCUMENTS: all people on board must have a valid identity document.
MINORS: minors on board are fully dependent and under the responsibility of their parents or accompanying persons. They are also obliged to supervise and supervise. Children under the age of 4 are not accepted.
ANIMALS: it is forbidden to bring animals on board. The use of the mobile phone depends on the coverage present in the area and is not always guaranteed.
TO KNOW BEFORE BOARDING
A sailing holiday is a novelty for many. It is to all intents and purposes another world, which is why on a cruise you can truly relax, forgetting for a while the problems of everyday life ... However, you have to take into account some characteristics that the stay on the boat poses. To coexist peacefully with the rest of the crew it is necessary to respect the privacy of others and that our freedom ends where that of the next begins. Maximum order must be kept in one's cabin and on the boat as everything out of place or in disorder causes annoyance and sometimes danger to safety on board. The spaces in the boat are wide but the boat has a stern and a bow, before and after there is the sea.
SEA SICKNESS: the symptoms of seasickness begin with a feeling of general malaise, they evolve into a very strong nausea up to a total exhaustion. The remedy? Avoid binges, sweets, some fruits, coffee, then obviously it's all subjective and the seafaring tradition is full of remedies: eat little but often with small salty snacks, shelter from the cold, it could be useful to lie down, try to sleep or chew some dry bread or some biscuits; if you feel the need to reject, don't hold back, you will only make the situation worse. Most of the time, after clearing the stomach, the situation improves in a short time. If possible, sleep a night on the boat in order to give the body time to get used to the strange floating world it is on. This with regards to prevention and in any case in case of discomfort do not hesitate to communicate it to the skipper, at the first signs try to focus your attention on a task that will keep you busy and that does not make you think about the malaise. There are many drugs on the market to treat travel sickness such as chewing gum, patches or bracelets that can be a solution but they must be taken before starting navigation because once the seasickness attack has started they are absolutely ineffective. The only downside is some sleepiness.
FRESH WATER: the tanks contain a few hundred liters of fresh water which, if used without criteria, run out very quickly, forcing an unpleasant change of route for refueling. In the middle of our cruise week there is a stop in the port and therefore the supply of water, minimizing the problem. It has rarely happened not to be able to refuel and for this reason the only question is to avoid waste. With a little attention, the problem does not arise: always close the taps in the bathrooms and the kitchen, avoid 'Hollywood' showers and that's it.
ELECTRICITY: when sailing, the energy is supplied by the on-board batteries which power all the systems of the boat and which are recharged during motor navigation. In port, on the other hand, the electrical system is connected to the normal 220 volt socket that can be used as at home with the normal sockets on board, plus there is a multi socket for USB that works with the engine running, so it will not be a problem to recharge mobile phones. and tablet.
ASSIGNMENT OF CABINS / BEDS: the assignment of cabins / berths takes place in chronological order of booking and on the basis of needs and cannot be a reason for dispute (single-use cabins can in any case be requested).
TOILETS: sailing boats are equipped with a toilet that is quite similar in shape to the one we all know but different in terms of operation than the one at home. In fact, it does not use a toilet to empty it but an electric or manual pump that draws water from the outside of the hull, pushes it into the toilet, cleaning it and always discharges it outside. The pipes that make up the system have, for safety reasons, a very small diameter, for this reason it is absolutely not necessary to throw toilet paper, absorbents or anything else in the toilet, otherwise it will be a little pleasant as it is certainly clogging. It will be the skipper's responsibility to explain to the crew how the toilet works and to authorize its use during navigation. Don't be afraid to ask, much better one more question than a flooded or rendered unusable bathroom.
