Brief description of the holiday

If you are looking for a fun holiday full of new friends a flotilla is the one for you. Three boats that always sail together, bringing you to discover a new landing place every day. We would like to be able to combine the tranquility of the sea, sunsets, sunrises and new friends, with aperitifs, joy, music and dancing. We will sail every day from one island to another showing you all the beauty of the archipelago and stopping in the most beautiful coves . You will see the sun set from the bow of the boat, drinking a glass of wine … or a spritz! ;-) . Our skippers will undertake to give you the first notions of sailing. The more expert and courageous will have the opportunity to steer a boat in the open sea under full sail, in total safety, experiencing a happiness that you will keep throughout the winter.

WHO WE ARE
The ASD Flotilla was created by Alessio B. , already skipper of flotillas on Sailsquare. Our Flotillas contain everything we love about the sea and sailing: parties on breathtaking beaches and coves, expert and reliable skippers, visits and shore excursions, new friendships and unforgettable moments.

PLAN

Saturday afternoon: Boarding in Scarlino at 17.00. Nestled between the surprising territory of Maremma and the Tuscan Archipelago , a few miles from the island of Elba , Marina di Scarlino is one of the safest and most protected tourist ports in the Mediterranean.

After making the galley and placing it on board, there will be an aperitif organized by the flotilla to give everyone the opportunity to get to know each other.

Sunday: We leave early in the morning. We will sail towards Elba and drop anchor on one of the best-known beaches in the municipality of Rio Marina. Ortano bay is famous for its transparent waters, perfect for snorkelling. Stop for lunch and a swim in one of the northern coves of Elba, and then set course for Portoferraio. If it is not relaxing to stop there, we will move to Marciana Marina, where we will spend the night at anchor.

Monday: Route to Capraia, the magical island of sailors. Capraia gives great emotions to sea lovers, with its splendid coast and seabed to explore. Night at anchor or in the charming and tiny port of Marina di Capraia.

Tuesday: Early in the morning we set sail for Corsica and its splendid waters. During the navigation we will round Cap Corse and after a refreshing bath, in the evening we will land in the bay of Saint Florent , with a stop at anchor or in the port, according to availability. Saint Florent is a lively and trendy town, full of charm, ideal for an aperitif and an evening all together.

Wednesday: The Agriate Desert awaits us, renowned for its white sand beaches, among which one of the most beautiful and famous is certainly Plage de Saleccia . After a day of sun and swimming in turquoise waters, in the evening we return to Saint Florent to spend the night in the bay.

Thursday: Setting sail in the morning we will sail again towards Capo Corso and then heading towards Capo San Andrea on Elba. After swimming in Fetovaia , one of the most suggestive beaches of the island, characterized by fine golden granite sand, in the evening we will reach the large and comfortable bay of Marina di Campo and we will go to discover its picturesque old town, with the characteristic small port. Marina di Campo has been, since the 1950s, one of the historic localities of Elba international tourism, so much so that it is called "La piccola Viareggio" .

Friday: Breakfast and then stop for a swim in one of the numerous bays on the south coast of Elba, where we will stop for lunch. In the afternoon, after a last dip in the clear waters of Elba, a quiet sailing back to Scarlino and arrival at the Marina at 5pm. We will have one last supper together with the hope of seeing each other again soon.

Saturday: Breakfast and disembarkation by 9:00.

I saw the sea change color, stacks guarding my thoughts, I danced between the classics of Neapolitan song and every summer catchphrase, I suffered the heat, the narrow spaces in a space with free horizons, I appreciated the tuna pasta and the sympathy of different people, I saw a crystal clear sea become dark and then find the light from a crack as big as a walnut as if to trace the way of a healing, I ate fish watching fish and drank wine in restaurants not starred but under the stars, I got lost and found around the eyes of the same color of the sea, I drank so much of that prosecco to curse the Veneto, I saw a dawn that reconciled me with D'Io, but above all I traveled aimlessly at the mercy of time and the sea and so I learned that good things happen Not in a linear direction, like a boat with a destination, but at the mercy of the wind where you can only try to orient your sails.

It's true, believe me it happened: the perfect holiday or almost. You imagine the scent of the sea, memorable landscapes seen from a new perspective, an adventure with people never met before, but here we went further. The alchemy that was created between the crew, the excellent weather that accompanied us until the end and the evenings spent singing and toasting to life on the boat and in renowned places such as "Anema e Core" in Capri made us forget having spread the sails too little. Result, however Wonderfulsooo (cit. DM and who does not read singing mind ;-) The adventure companions deserve a note: 2 astronauts, 2 doctors, 1 PM, 1 chef, 1 Bolognese (that's enough), 1 princess, 1 graphic visualmarchetingdesigner, 1 brave captain (cit. Morandi and Baglioni) and a jester (me). In a word: marvellousiiiiii

Writing the review of a week on a boat "almost" sailing to win a weekend in Nettuno or Ponza, is certainly not like writing about that novel, ehm as it is called, the one with the Nun of Monza ... Certainly this holiday will not remain for posterity, made of sun, sea and laughter to the "bitter end" but, to "that branch of Lake Como", there is no doubt I prefer Lara, Gianluca, Enrico, Linda, Anna, Fabio, Cristina; Enrico Bis, Paolo and Flavio, the skipper "nostromo"... Good wind!

Comfortable boat, skipper prepared and always available to explain the principles of sailing and to involve interested crew members. Pleasant company. A pity not to have completely respected the planned itinerary. The program, written in a workmanlike manner, is perhaps a little too ambitious. I would have liked to do more excursions every day, as scheduled. But sailing between islands really takes a long time and this limits the possible excursions. Also for safety reasons I would recommend a co-skipper rather than a single skipper on board.

Beautiful itinerary from the point of view of landscape, beautiful islands. The skipper very prepared and helpful. Unfortunately it was a week with little wind and the skipper, being the only expert on board, did not feel like opening the sails ... So a holiday on a sailing boat but on a motor. A beautiful group is Eucharist; evenings often spent on dry land; Few activities organized during the day but we enjoyed the sea in the points where the anchor was dropped. In short... Recommended itinerary wishing those who have yet to do so that there is more good wind.

Perfect holiday! I would do it a thousand times and I would do it again with the same spectacular Jeanneau 54, with the same skipper (Mao) who was able to combine professionalism and light-heartedness and with the same group that turned out to be a "new family" for me. A special thanks to the organization that allowed me to meet wonderful people and fantastic places. The idea of traveling in a flotilla, however, having its autonomy and freedom of choice I found it successful. I am sure we will meet again!

Holiday that will remain in my heart! Francesco was a competent skipper, who entertained us throughout the week with technical anecdotes about the world of sailing. He was also an excellent travel companion, he was able to integrate very well into the holiday group that was equally cohesive and very serene. First boat experience for me that I will definitely repeat!

My experience was absolutely amazing! The sense of freedom and thunderous laughter enlivened the entire holiday. I was lucky enough to share a beautiful sea, great food and pure fun with a fantastic crew and with a captain of excellence. I carry with me eyes full of blue and my heart full of new affections. Absolutely to be repeated!

What about this holiday? Absolutely to be repeated! I found a group of fabulous people with whom I shared days full of laughter and lots of fun and without our very nice and well-prepared Skipper it would not have been the same! The only flaw I can say is on the Flotilla that was not as compact as I expected ... But luckily our spacious boat managed to accommodate everyone with open arms.

Spectacular holiday, too bad it lasts only a week. Ponza, Palmarola and Ventotene fantastic sea. Tip: I would do Capri as a first stop and not as the last, otherwise from the Pontine islands you have to do at least 6 hours of motor navigation (weather permitting) and you lose a day at sea.

Unforgettable experience, thanks also to the experience and strong sympathy of skipper Francesco, who immediately got in tune with us. I can't wait to repeat another holiday like this, then what can I say... Our group was really gorgeous! But we already imagined it ;) Rated 10+ to this magical holiday. W Sailsquare

The Pontine Islands are a gem of rare beauty! The Adorata boat was convenient and comfortable and our skipper Alessandro was kind and technically prepared. I found a magical group of friends with whom I shared lots of laughter and evenings together! The only flaw that I would like to point out as a starting point for improvement: the organization of La Flottiglia! It was not a flotilla formula and the agreed program was not followed (see the visit of Ventotene)

Skipper vote 10, Simone was really great. I remove 1 point because from the site I have no opportunity to leave a real review on the entire holiday., unfortunately the sailboat rented did not meet my expectations because little attention to detail, little cleaning and very little maintenance. Too bad! otherwise good organization of the Flotilla team.

Super holiday! The skipper Francesco was amazing! The boat was well blended of age and city that united everyone! I would have liked to sail a little more... But I understand that it goes according to the winds.. For the rest, nothing to say!

Skipper Giulio very responsible and competent from an exquisitely technical point of view for safe navigation, to improve the organization of shore excursions with greater knowledge of the places and participation in the same in presence. Except for the day of return, anticipated in the early afternoon and lost in navigation, overall beautiful cruise, the flotilla formula, even if I imagined it a little more supportive, is still a plus for the greater number of people who can meet during the cruise.

Not nice things? 1 - It is not a holiday of 7 but of 5 1/2 days. On the first Saturday you don't set sail (would it have been nice to set sail in the evening at sunset or why not at night?). We begin to return late Friday morning to refuel and be at the port around 5 pm. The holiday in practice lasts 5 1/2 days. 2 - You never go sailing if not very little on the first day. 3 - You never sleep in the harbor. All stops are subject to a fee ports / buoys. This ruins the magic of waking up and bathing early. 4 - Too much travel. At 7am? You are awakened by the engine behind your head because another crossing begins. 5 - The boat had many broken things such as the external sound system, the ladder badly put, a bathroom and a barely usable coffee maker. Beautiful things? 1 - The company I found on board, friends I will remember forever. 2 - The kindness of skipper Giulio always friendly and nice. 3 - The magic of the Aeolian Islands.

Great skipper, who combined professionalism and seriousness with availability and sympathy. A certainty!

Fantastic tour with beautiful landscapes and sea that I would do immediately. Very caring and attentive skipper. Some flaws on the organization: - no info on how to reach the marina (there seems to be a dedicated shuttle) - the organization 'the flotilla' does not tow on the moments of aggregation between the boats, which are left to the organization of the individuals unlike what is expected in a flotilla

Every year a guarantee! Enchanting bays and villages on land, accompanied by an excellent organization and preparation of skipper and organizing team. ????????????

Other important information

HOW TO GET:
Scarlino is in the province of Grosseto and can be easily reached from all over Italy by car, the port is surrounded by street parking and silos. It will be possible to organize groups of cars as we get closer to the start. By train: Scarlino is not far from Follonica station, where the fast regional trains pass and which is well connected by local buses.

WHAT TO BRING:
Seasonal temperatures include minimums of 20° and maximums of 35°.
Soft and light luggage that is easy to stow (eg: holdall)
Bath towels are NOT included.
Shoes with clear rubber soles for walking on the boat: no slippers for being on the boat
Waterproof waxed or windbreaker suitable for the season
Personal medicines if needed
XAMAMINA 50 mg for those suffering or suspected of suffering from seasickness
Recharge mobile phone battery with 12 Volt cigarette lighter socket
Sunglasses, cap and sunscreen with protection (preferably non-spray)

WHAT TO LEAVE ON THE GROUND:
Trolleys, rigid suitcases or suitcases with wheels and various trolleys
Sheets and bathroom towels (included in the Starter Pack)
Hair dryer and hair straighteners (at most one for the whole boat to be used only on the pontoon, we will decide together on the WhatsApp group)
Umbrellas (besides being useless they bring bad luck)

It is mandatory to deliver the medical certificate for non-competitive sporting activities before boarding. It is also possible to send it before boarding by email. This is necessary for the validity of the insurance. GALLEY:
Before you leave, we will email you a standard food list for the galley, based on our past experience. Inside the port there is a supermarket where people will be able to add the things they deem necessary. In case you would like to do the shopping for your crew yourself we will be happy to show you the nearest supermarket, but we remind you that for this you need a car.

EXTRA CHARGES:
* STARTER PACK €129: boat cleaning, personal insurance, boat deposit, sanitization, bed linen and towels, tender engine, water and electricity in the port of departure and arrival.
* COMMON CASH 180-200€: Stops in the ports, galley and wine.
* PROGRAMMED DINNERS ON SHORE 50-100€: Dinners on shore included in the programme.
