This experience, in a nutshell

The week in the Aeolian Islands begins in the charming town of Portorosa (Furnari-Messina).
The port, inside a tourist village, is located in a strategic position, and is easily accessible by car, along the A20 motorway, but also from Catania airport (there is a convenient shuttle bus service) and Palermo. .

Geographically, it is one of the closest locations to the Aeolian Islands so in about three hours of navigation you can reach the archipelago.

Saturday Check-in generally takes place between 15/16. Once you have purchased the galley (possible market in the same village) and boarded the crew members, we set off to reach the southern edge of the island of Vulcano (Location Gelso).
Restorative swim and then transfer for the evening to the bay or to the western port of the same island. From here it is possible to make a night visit to the town.

Sunday bow towards Panarea The island that needs no introduction, is surrounded by a small archipelago of islets where you can pleasantly spend the whole day.
In the evening you cannot miss the exploration of the small village, famous for its intense nightlife. Unforgettable night moored in the peaceful Milazzese bay.

Monday is the turn of the island of Stromboli where the most daring can make the ascent to the crater (excursion that requires an authorized guide to be booked) or, the most romantic, watch the breathtaking sunset from a terrace of the tiny hamlet of Ginostra.

Tuesday bow on Salina with intermediate stop for swimming north of Panarea (the island is on the route to Salina halfway through).
Salina is defined as the green island and, for trekking enthusiasts, after a climb of medium difficulty, through unexpected woods (lasting about 3 hours), you reach "Fossa delle Felci" the highest peak of the entire archipelago (968m. ). From here you can enjoy the 360 ° view of the entire archipelago. Unforgettable panorama!
The more enjoyable ones can instead be distracted with the famous Alfredo granitas or with the “pane cunzato”, in the locality of Lingua, otherwise visit one of the numerous local wineries producing excellent wines including the famous Malvasia.

Wednesday Before leaving Salina, stop for a swim in the famous bay of Pollara (one of the sets where they shot the film “Il Postino”) then head to Filicudi to spend the night in the tiny port of Pecorini a Mare.

Thursday after an excursion in a tender inside the cave of the "Bue Marino" and a passage next to the "Canna" (places on the island that should not be deserted) we go to Lipari , the largest island of the archipelago.
Before reaching the port to visit the town, you can admire the west coast of the island and in particular “Valle Muria”, wonderful for the colors of the coves, the Faraglioni and the mouths of Vulcano (necessary bathing stops).

Friday is the day of return but, before heading to PortoRosa, we will circumnavigate the west coast of the island of Vulcano to visit the “Grotta del Cavallo” and other bays entirely made up of lava.

Saturday check out day between 9/10.

A week on a sailboat equipped with every comfort , six islands in seven days, full of relaxation, sea but also possible excursions in the interior (visit of the crater of Stromboli and Fossa delle Felci in Salina).
Nights at anchor to enjoy the stars but also the Aeolian nightlife.
The over thirty years experience and the sympathy of a skipper / musician will accompany you on this wonderful journey.

I would highly recommend this trip and Nicola as a skipper. It was amazing trip, visiting the different aeolian islands, which are all beautiful. We had plenty of time to stop for swimming and visiting the islands. The skippers local knowledge of the area and local sites to visit, restaurants and beauty spots made the trip unforgettable. The boat was kept in immaculate condition and his partner also cooked some amazing food for us on the trip. I would be very happy to join another trip with them in the future and I would highly recommend it.
