This experience, in a nutshell

A week-long cruise through the wildest and most authentic places in Cap Corse, the Island of Elba and Capraia. Perfect for those who love the sea, sailing, snorkeling and quiet evenings with a good restaurant. Definitely not suitable for those looking for crowded beaches and nightlife.

It is not a commercial cruise with skipper and hostess: we are a couple in their sixties who sail on their own boat, and this is simply our return trip from Corsica. We are looking for kind and curious people to share the experience with, not customers.

There are only 4 seats on board, in the two berths at the stern (we sleep in the bow).

It starts from Bastia, easily reachable in a few hours by ferry (or perhaps arriving a few days earlier to enjoy the island), and arrives after a week in Portovenere.

A small journey in the most authentic Mediterranean, at a slow pace and under sail.

Our itinerary

The meeting point is in Bastia, in the enchanting Vieux Port, a stone's throw from the ferry landing: comfortable and fast, much better than the boat crossing!

From Bastia we sail across to the Island of Elba, between spectacular bays such as Fetovaia and Viticcio, and welcoming marinas such as Marciana Marina, perfect for an evening on land.

We continue towards Cala Rossa in Capraia, with its unique colors between red and blue (no photo editing!).

Then head to Macinaggio, in Corsica, for a simple or refined dinner, between pizza and lobster.

We dedicate a day to Cap Corse, exploring wild beaches, cows on the sand, colored stones and maybe the sailing tour of the legendary Giraglia.

Finally, night departure for Portovenere, with an eye on the horizon: dolphins often appear at dawn.

Upon arrival, the small church by the sea welcomes us.

A week has flown by. Too fast.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Cesare and an experienced offshore sailor, with total confidence we experienced an amazing adventure during our nine day trip. He is personable and has a great sense of humor. He is very attentive to the needs of his guests and tries to include them in all the arrivals on the boat. I will gladly join Caesar on a future journey!

Day on a sailing boat between the island of Palmaria and Portovenere in the company of the wise and prepared Cesare. He expertly explained to us the principles of sailing and allowed us to support him in some technical gestures while sailing his brand new boat. Beautiful experience.
