Leg 1

Saturday

At 5 p.m. the skipper will be waiting for you at the Marina di Porto Pignataro for the safety briefing, the assignment of the cabins, the organization of the common fund and the indications for the supply of the galley. In fact, guests have the task of supplying the boat with food and drinks and taking turns preparing meals and tidying up the kitchen; The skipper is exempt.

Leg 2

Sunday

We will reach the Port of Levante di Vulcano where there are underwater fumaroles that emit such steam as to make this stretch of sea a natural whirlpool.

Then Gelso, a beautiful black sandy beach, solitary and little crowded, dominated by a very suggestive lighthouse.

In the afternoon, on the west coast of Vulcano, we will discover the pool of Venus and the cave of the Horse.

We will admire the stacks of Lipari and land in Salina for dinner and the night at anchor.

Leg 3

Monday

Route to Pecorini a Mare on Filicudi with a stop at the Sea Turtle Emergency Room.

In the afternoon we will sail to Alicudi, the most distant and wild of the Aeolian Islands, one of those places where time has stopped, life flows slowly in contact with unspoiled, rugged and solitary nature.

There is only a small restaurant with a unique atmosphere or the fishermen willing to host us at their home for dinner,

Night at the buoy in the roadstead.

Leg 4

Tuesday

Those who wish can go trekking on the ancient lava stone stairs of Alicudi.

Then we will return to Filicudi to enjoy a swim at the Grotta del Bue Marino and admire La Canna.

After lunch we will reach the bay of Pollara, on the island of Salina, famous for its particular morphology, so much so that it was chosen as the setting for the film Il Postino.

We will spend the night in the bay of Santa Marina, a lively town located on the slopes of a huge crater, the Fossa delle Felci.

Leg 5

Wednesday

Direction Panarea where the sea has a particular charm due to the presence of islets and rocks that form an archipelago in its own right resting on a single volcanic complex, a real paradise for divers.

Diving and lunch at the Scoglio della Nave.

We will then continue towards Stromboli, the permanently active volcano.

Climbing its slopes as far as it is allowed, we will be able to dine while enjoying the truly unforgettable spectacle of the Sciara di Fuoco.

Night at anchor in the bay of Scari.

Leg 6

Thursday

We will reach Basiluzzo where diving you can enjoy an explosion of colors thanks to the presence of astroides, colored sponges, gorgonians, orange madrepores and starfish that populate the white wall of the monolith and Lisca Binca with its sulphurous springs.

Finally Cala Zimmari where we will spend the night and from which the town can be reached on foot in a few minutes.

Leg 7

Friday

The program includes breakfast at Cala Junco, considered one of the most beautiful bays in Italy, and a visit to the remains of the Bronze Age village on its summit.

In the afternoon we will reach the White Beaches of Lipari where the volcanic nature of the Aeolian Islands is tangible on the seabed made up of white pumice sediments and the sea is particularly warm and of an intense turquoise.

Around 4 p.m. we will return to the Pignataro Port of Lipari.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Aeolian Islands - A week on a sailing boat with skipper and assistant

One word to describe this experience, wonder! Luigi's indisputable experience and Enrico's irreplaceable attention made the week on board the boat [hidden] a pleasure for all our senses: our eyes full of breathtaking landscapes and the unique colors of beaches and skies in all their shades; our palate delighted by the expertly prepared dishes for a tasty discovery of the local cuisine; the stories of the islands during navigation and the sound of the sea transformed into a pleasant symphony for our ears; the scents of the Sicilian land among flowers, high quality ingredients and salt on the skin and last but not least the magical touch of the waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the warm rays of sunshine after a regenerating bath. Thank you so much from me and my little travel companion who will forever carry with her the memory of an exciting journey, thanks to two people with a big heart and capable of transmitting their unconditional love for the sea and for life. Good winds and calm seas! A special greeting from Maruscka and Alma

Aeolian Islands - A week on a sailing boat with skipper and assistant

Our week aboard the [hidden] was an unforgettable experience among the beauties of the Aeolian Islands. Luigi, an experienced skipper and talented engineer, guided us with safety and flexibility, ensuring suggestive stops and safe anchorages at all times. The boat, a vintage-style 13-meter boat with fine wood finishes, is comfortable and well organized: optimized spaces, four versatile cabins and a welcoming dinette allow you to live life on board with the right balance between sportiness and comfort. An added value is represented by Enrico, Luigi's son and architect of naval interiors: in addition to being a skilled navigator, he has proved to be an authentic "director of on-board hotel services", capable of combining logistics, hospitality and cuisine of the highest level. Breakfasts, lunches and aperitifs prepared with the freshest local raw materials – often fish of the day – made every convivial moment special. The familiar and informal atmosphere was the common thread of the cruise, although disembarkations can sometimes be uncomfortable due to the small rowing tender, as the engine supplied is inadequate for shallow waters. The absence of adequate safety accessories (lights, dedicated life jackets) generated significant critical issues in the evening, in a context of autonomous management of the tender by us guests and with not completely calm seas. Despite this not small problem, the rule of always dining on land and independently (necessary to guarantee the team a well-deserved break) has always proved to be a winning choice, allowing you to fully appreciate the picturesque seaside villages and above all the tasty Aeolian cuisine. In summary, despite some small technical limitations, the cruise with Luigi and Enrico remains a unique experience that combines sailing, nature, gastronomy and authentic hospitality. An adventure that we recommend to those who love the sea, the wind and the authentic charm of sailing.

A dream week, quite simply! Life on a boat requires you to respect certain rules and let yourself be carried away. But what beauty! What a privilege to approach the coves from the sea! And then we couldn't have dreamed of more caring, passionate, delicate and funny skippers. Thank you to Luigi and Enrico for sharing their paradise with us!
