Embarkation in Preveza. Guests arrive at Preveza (Aktion) Airport, around 10 minutes from the home base at Preveza Port (transfer can be arranged on request). Welcome onboard at 17:00 with a safety and route briefing from the skipper. The first night is spent in port; dinner is taken along Preveza's seafront promenade, a 5-minute walk from the boat.

Preveza to Lefkada Town via the Cleopatra Canal. A short morning leg of around 12 NM through the Lefkada canal and the floating bridge that opens on the hour. Lunch at anchor in Vlycho Bay, the largest natural anchorage in the Ionian. Evening berth in Lefkada Town quay; dinner in the old town's narrow alleys, five minutes from the boat.

Lefkada to Meganisi (Spartochori or Vathy). An easy sail of about 14 NM into Meganisi's bays. Long lunch and swim at Papanikolis Cave (the second-largest sea cave in Greece) or Atokos. Evening on the village quay in Spartochori — a tiny stone village with three tavernas above the harbour and a sunset view across to Kefalonia.

Meganisi to Ithaca (Vathy or Kioni). About 18 NM south-east through the channel between Lefkada and Kefalonia. Anchor lunch at Polis Bay — Odysseus's alleged landing point on his return to Ithaca. Evening in Kioni, a postcard-perfect horseshoe harbour with three windmills above the village and waterfront tavernas under the plane trees.

Ithaca to Fiskardo (Kefalonia). A short and easy crossing of around 10 NM. Lunch and a swim at Foki Beach, just outside Fiskardo. Evening in Fiskardo — the most picturesque harbour on Kefalonia, the only village on the island that survived the 1953 earthquake intact, with Venetian houses and a row of waterfront tavernas the crew has worked with for years

Fiskardo to Port Kalamos (or Episkopi). A reach of around 20 NM east toward the mainland. Optional lunch in Sami or Asos. Evening in tiny Port Kalamos, where the legendary George ties every visiting yacht in personally, brings the menu straight to the boat from his quayside taverna, and refuses tips. For most groups it's the most memorable evening of the trip.

Kalamos to Sivota (Lefkada). A final cruising day of around 16 NM back north. Anchor lunch at One House Bay on Atokos — a horseshoe cove with a single small church and one weathered fisherman's cottage. Farewell dinner in Sivota Bay, a deep enclosed harbour ringed by waterfront tavernas with their tables almost in the water.
