This experience, in a nutshell

A special weekend dedicated to sailing and the Barcolana, to experience one of the most exciting regattas in Italy from a truly privileged perspective: directly from the sea, along the race route!

We will depart from San Giorgio di Nogaro and spend two nights on board, alternating moments of navigation and relaxation. During the weekend we will approach the regatta area to watch the passage of the boats in the race and breathe all the energy and unique atmosphere of the Barcolana.

On Sunday morning we will be in the front row on the sea until 13:00, when you can enjoy the spectacle of the boats whizzing along the race course from a completely different point of view from that of the mainland.

A perfect experience for those who love sailing, regattas and the sea, but also for those who want to experience a different weekend than usual, between sailing, views and the incredible atmosphere of the Barcolana.

Our trip starts here:

Leg 1

Friday

Boarding is scheduled for Friday afternoon in San Giorgio di Nogaro. On the first evening we will remain moored in San Giorgio di Nogaro: after arranging our things on board, a dinner awaits us in a typical local trattoria. After dinner, we'll return on board to spend the first night on the boat.

Leg 2

Saturday

On Saturday morning we will leave San Giorgio di Nogaro to start our navigation to one of the two possible destinations: Muggia, on the outskirts of Trieste, or Izola, the first Slovenian marina arriving from Italy.

The destination will be chosen based on weather conditions and the availability of places in the marina. With about 6 hours of navigation, in favorable weather conditions, we will reach our destination in the afternoon. Lunch will be eaten on board during the navigation, to fully enjoy the day at sea. Once there, there will be time to relax properly. In the evening a dinner on board and a night in the marina await us, ready for the big day on Sunday.

Leg 3

Sunday

On Sunday morning we wake up early: around 8:00 am we set sail to reach the area of the regatta course. We will position ourselves between the first and second buoys, one of the most interesting and spectacular points to watch the passage of the boats in the race.

We will stay in the area until about 13:00, immersed in the spectacle of the Barcolana, surrounded by the competing boats and the incredible atmosphere of the regatta.

At the end of the event, we will begin the return navigation to San Giorgio di Nogaro, where our experience will end.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Gabriele é un vero appassionato di vela ed è uno skipper molto esperto. Attraverso i suoi insegnamenti ci ha trasmesso molte nozioni e tecniche di vela . Abbiamo fatto diverse tappe in Istria navigando prevalentemente a vela . É stata un’esperienza molto bella anche dal punto di vista della relazione, aspetto non comune di questi tempi . Thanks to Gabriele for letting me live my first Barcolana, the very little wind did not prevent us from living this wonderful experience. Our experience with Gabriele, the boat, the crew, the delivery and of course being able to experience the Barcolana was incredible and could not have been better. Gabriele proved to be a competent and knowledgeable captain as well as a fine gentleman.
