Our trip ends here:

Leg 1

Day 1 - La Spezia

Boarding at the pier located along the promenade of the central seafront of La Spezia. Arrangement of the galley and preparation of the cabin for the night. The catamaran's mooring pier is located adjacent to the center of La Spezia, where you can get off to walk along the main pedestrian streets and to dine at the restaurant.

The city of La Spezia is located in the center of the so-called Gulf of Poets, in the wide inlet surrounded by green hills that stretches from Lerici to the towns of Porto Venere, the island of Palmaria and the islets of Tino and Tinetto.

Day 1 - La Spezia

Leg 2

Day 2 - Palmaria

Embarkation of guests arriving in the morning. Once the moorings have been cleared, we set sail in the Gulf of La Spezia towards the island of Palmaria.

From the sea you can admire the islands of the small archipelago of Portovenere, consisting of the islands of Palmaria, Tino and the very small Tinetto. Portovenere is a small town also famous for its castle, nestled on the western tip of the Gulf of La Spezia.

Lunch break at anchor in front of Portovenere. In the afternoon, sail to the Cinque Terre, five characteristic ancient fishing villages that extend over a jagged stretch of coast of about 10 km.

In the evening you can moor (optional) at the small port of Portovenere or return to the pier of La Spezia. In the evening we go ashore for a walk and/or dinner at the restaurant.

Day 2 - Palmaria

Leg 3

Day 3 - Lerici

In the morning we set sail in the stretch of sea between Lerici and the island of Palmaria. Lunch break at anchor in Lerici. We will anchor in the roadstead below the castle of Lerici, which is located overlooking the sea right at the tip of the town. Lerici is a small village located on the eastern shore of the Gulf of La Spezia.

In the late afternoon we return to the pier of La Spezia for disembarkation.

The itinerary may be subject to change depending on sea weather conditions. Together we could decide on any changes to the program.

Day 3 - Lerici

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Aeolian Islands - Sea, Sun and Relax - big and new Catamaran Lagoon 42

Fantastic destination. Great sized catamaran. Food provided by our hostess was good. There are a few of issues that need highlighting: 1. The size of the boat and its starting point changed after I booked online. 2. I had asked if a single supplement applied to my booking as (at the point of booking) the boat/catamaran only had 4 berths. I was told there wasn’t a supplement. We were assigned a larger boat and I was allotted a single cabin - the same size as for the hostess/chef. 3. I did not receive a confirmation by email of what I had booked (so had no evidence of what I was to expect when I arrived). I was in a cabin suitable for a child and had to share a bathroom. There was no WiFi available. I had no exterior window. The fan in my room only worked by connecting 2 loose wires (like hotwiring a car!). The sockets in my room worked intermittently. 4. The skipper was extremely competent in his professional work. However, his English was not good enough to be listed as a second language. In addition, he could have been more regular about informing ALL the passengers at the same time about the itinerary for the day (which differed significantly in order from that on the website). Informing us whilst we were eating would have been the perfect time. 5. On the day of departure we were asked to meet 2 hours earlier than arranged but the cleaners had not finished their work and we left 2 hours behind schedule. This we were sitting around for 4 hours unnecessarily. Better communication might have avoided this. 6. The wording for the itinerary is not clear regarding the transfer from an airport. I feel it needs to be explicit that this isn’t included. 7. The skipper was in a hurry to return to port on the night before last and omitted a final swim stop. He left the boat before the others.

Wonderful holiday on board a Lagoon 50 (practically new) that offers ample comfortable spaces to enjoy relaxing days and moments of navigation in the best possible way. The skipper Maurizio, very competent and professional, was able to manage the boat in the best possible way, transmitting safety both during navigation and during mooring maneuvers! He is also willing to teach the rudiments of the trade to those who, like me, are interested in learning them. Finally, congratulations must also be made to Rachele, the hostess, who prepared excellent meals for us and was able to bond well with the group! Until next time! Andrea and Federica
