This experience, in a nutshell

A proposal for those who want to experience the adventure of life on board and sailing, surrounded by the natural spectacle of the northwest coast of Sicily.

On board you will find the warmth and welcome that only an inhabited boat can give and a crew ready to take care of you and accompany you to discover the most authentic dimension of going to sea, in which time is dilated and the elements of nature still play a fundamental role.

We don't like to be in a hurry, the essence of sailing does not include hit and run: we like to stop in places, snorkel, dive and long swims, fish, explore every corner of the roadsteads with the tender, go ashore curious to see and discover but also lounge in the hammock discussing with a sailing companion or entertaining yourself with a good book in the shade of the awning, peeking here and there out of the corner of our eye at the landscape that surrounds us different every time.

Antonio will be the captain, Bianca and the youngest of the crew (4 years old) will be ready to embark if you like or need further help or company on board.

If you like, you can participate in the maneuvers and learn the basics of sailing and seafaring culture, or just think about relaxing and enjoying all the little pleasures that floating life offers us.

Il Viva 48 è una barca a vela solida e robusta, costruita con maestria per assicurare buone prestazioni di navigazione e sicurezza.progettata da Alfeo Scattolin alla fine degli anni '70 come cruise-racer sulle linee del Faram-Serenissima, altra sua creazione di poco precedente che aveva ottenuto diversi risultati eccellenti nelle regate di quel periodo. Le linee slanciate e la forma dello scafo tipica della classe IOR, conferiscono a questa barca notevoli prestazioni a vela e la navigazione è confortevole e sicura in ogni condizione meteo-marina. La coperta offre ampi spazi sia per la manovra che per il relax degli ospiti a bordo. Gli interni sono semplici e raccolti, curati con amore e caratterizzati dallo spirito accogliente di una barca che è anche una casa. Ci sono 4 cabine (di cui una per l'equipaggio) e due bagni. A bordo cerchiamo di non occupare mai la dinette per garantire la massima comodità ai nostri ospiti; la barca può accogliere comodamente 6 persone nel caso di famiglie con bambini, quando i nostri ospiti sono tutti adulti preferiamo non viaggiare con più di 5 persone. Ogni cabina ha la sua presa di corrente a 12 V e la barca ha un gruppo elettrogeno da 3,5 kWper la corrente a 220 V. Our itinerary

San Vito Lo Capo will welcome you with its beach all tinged with coral pink and its breathtaking landscape guarded to the east by the silhouette of Monte Monaco which then opens the spectacle of the wild coast of the Zingaro Reserve, and to the north by the ancient lighthouse beyond which, turning bow to the west, the splendid bay of Macari opens up and the silhouettes of the Egadi islands can be seen.

Once we have chosen our destination, we will be ready to cast off the moorings and leave the port of San Vito to discover the wonders of the north-western Sicilian coast: we could sail between the Zingaro Reserve and Monte Cofano. Or, in case you want to go a little further, put the bow to the northeast towards Ustica and its crystal clear seabed or towards the Egadi islands, where history and nature create an extraordinary landscape to be known slowly; in both cases a half-day navigation (about 6 hours) will make us reach a safe anchorage.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Weekend at the end of May really nice with Antonio and Bianca! Everything was perfect, from their great experience at sea to the kindness and family atmosphere. The boat is a gem, kept with care and love. They are two true lovers of the sea, with a lot of experience. Absolutely recommended 🥰

Sailing to discover north-western Sicily and the Egadi Islands

A crew of 5 people have never been on a boat. Antonio and Bianca were always ready to teach us how to best enjoy all the time on board, explaining what were the things to see, what to do and always putting us in a very, very pleasant and safe situation. We visited the Egadi islands and saw the bays of San Vito lo Capo. All the time together was a way to discover new things, from how you are during navigation, to what are the characteristics of this stretch of sea. We were assisted by wonderful weather and saw dolphins, a swordfish, starfish. And above all we learned that traveling is always a way to find what makes us feel good taking into account what is around us "Let's make the plan and then see where to feel better". Thank you Antonio and Bianca for your wonderful hospitality. A journey that will be forever in our hearts.

Antonio and Bianca are two great connoisseurs of the sea and believe in what they do. The boat, being their home is cozy and well maintained, going to sea with them is like entering a friend's house. Antonio and Bianca cooked for us and covered us with attention to make us relax and enjoy the sea to the fullest. We were able to get to know a beautiful part of Sicily that we did not know. Antonio and Bianca were extremely helpful and kind to us both in the pre-departure and during our first boat experience. We were pampered and they always found a solution to satisfy our desires, whether they were a destination to reach or a culinary experience. They introduced us to the sea, the traditions of the sailor, taught us how a sailboat works. We had the opportunity to chat like friends, giving us a fun, interesting and relaxing holiday. Being their home the boat was equipped with everything we needed, making us feel at home. We were really excited about the holiday not only for the enchanting places we visited but for the company of two sea lovers like them.
