This experience, in a nutshell

Our wooden schooner, with auric rigging, built entirely by hand according to the ancient dictates of the shipwrights of North America, awaits you with its crew to make you experience unforgettable moments of sharing, adventure and fun.

Built for an environmental project that aims to raise awareness of plastic pollution in the sea, the schooner is used for a variety of sailing, seafaring, sustainability and awareness-raising activities to preserve the marine ecosystem. These initiatives make this boat a place of special encounters and discoveries.

Since 2020, our schooner has been an ambassador for the WWF cetacean research project: The Sails of the Panda.

Below is an idea for you to imagine the possibilities in a holiday with us. However, we are open to alternative proposals to customize the itinerary according to your wishes.

Do not hesitate to contact us to ask for information, reservations or to propose a personalized itinerary.

The typical holiday will be dedicated to offshore sailing and seafaring arts: hoisting the sails by hand, steering, learning the knots, spotting cetaceans, following a route.

The galley is made by the captain before embarkation to optimize time. During the holiday you will take turns preparing meals and tidying up. For those who wish, you can book a cook service at a cost of €120/day (to be divided among all guests).

Our itinerary

Our trip starts here:

Punta Ala.

Check-in: 7:00 PM

Our trip ends here:

Punta Ala.

Check-out: 3:00 PM

Leg 1

Sunday

We embark in Punta Ala on Sunday evening, at 19:00, on the quay of the port or with the tender if the boat is at anchor. The first evening will be dedicated to acclimatizing on board and familiarizing ourselves with the rest of the crew, as well as learning the methods and rules on board.

Sunday

Leg 2

Monday

In the morning, setting sail from Punta Ala, we will set sail for the Island of Elba, just 15 miles away, where we will have the opportunity to introduce ourselves to the world of sailing with a nice swim at the beginning of the holiday. We will stop for the time necessary to get in the mood, enjoy a good lunch and resume sailing towards one of the other enchanting coves that the island offers. For example, at Cannello beach or Cala dell'Innamorata. A night at anchor in the Golfo Stella will give us the opportunity, the following morning, to enjoy a wonderful awakening and a refreshing dip in its crystal clear waters.

Monday

Leg 3

Tuesday

A light breakfast and then off again with full sails! Capraia is waiting for us!! It will be a day of sailing where we will learn the first rudiments of sailing, to tie knots, to steer, to make tacks... In short, sailing on a schooner like this is a unique experience, of true seafaring!! The possibilities in Capraia are numerous and if we want to fully enjoy the beauty of the island, the captain recommends a walk from the port to the village not far away, where it could be nice to have a dinner in one of the excellent restaurants in the village.

Tuesday

Leg 4

Wednesday

Wednesday is perfect for a leap into the blue: let's unfurl the sails in the direction of Corsica!! In a couple of hours we find ourselves in French waters and in the presence of the Giraglia, a famous island on the 'tip of the finger' that is used as a turning point for many famous regattas. We do not stop but head west, offshore where, with a little luck, we will be able to spot dolphins, fin whales, sperm whales, beaked whales, turtles, mobulas. (see photo). With the sun high in the sky, a dip in the deepest blue (2000 meters) becomes inevitable, an unforgettable experience not to be missed!!

Wednesday

Leg 5

Thursday

After a night in Centuri, with only a few edges, we will find ourselves near St. Florent and the enchanting Lotus Beach, the pride of the northern part of Corsica. It is a day dedicated to relaxation: we have sailed a lot in the past days and we deserve a day of rest in this wonderful place, enjoying a nice walk on the white sand (watch out for the bulls that also come to freely enjoy this wonder!) and fill our eyes and soul with these Caribbean colors that pervade the whole area.

Thursday

Leg 6

Friday

On Friday, unfortunately, we have to start going back to the base: it will be a day for real sailors, all dedicated to navigation that will take us to the Enfola Beach, on Elba, where we will spend the night.

Friday

Leg 7

Saturday

Saturday morning, calmly, we will head 'home', happy to have spent a wonderful and adventurous week on a sailing ship of other times. Calmly, around 16:00, we will be able to disembark at Punta Ala: the circle closes!

Time for greetings and hugs and ... See you soon!!

Saturday

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Grazie!!!
