From the center of Rome, follow Via Cristoforo Colombo (SS148) towards Lido di Ostia; from the Grande Raccordo Anulare (A90) take the exit for Cristoforo Colombo/Ostiense and continue on the SS148 to the seafront and the main entrances to the Lido; those arriving from the A12 motorway (Rome-Civitavecchia) take the GRA and follow the exit for Cristoforo Colombo (SS148). Travel times vary according to urban traffic and timetables.

The main connection is the Rome-Lido line, departing from Porta San Paolo/Piramide and arriving in Ostia Lido; you can reach Porta San Paolo from Roma Termini station with the Metro B (Piramide) in about 10 minutes, then continue with the Roma-Lido for about 20-30 minutes to the stations of Lido Centro / Ostia; from Roma Ostiense station the connection to Porta San Paolo is pedestrian and the time on the Roma-Lido is about 20-25 minutes.

The nearest airports are Fiumicino (FCO) and Ciampino (CIA); from Fiumicino the road transfer to Lido di Ostia takes approximately 25-40 minutes, from Ciampino 45-60 minutes, depending on traffic; Connection options from Fiumicino include the Leonardo Express to Roma Termini followed by Metro B and Roma-Lido, the FL1 regional trains to Ostiense/Trastevere with a change to Rome-Lido, as well as taxis, buses and car hire for direct transfers.

If all cabins are occupied by guests, the skipper - and any crew members, if applicable - sleep in the dinette.

There are two triple cabins. The aft cabin has a double bed and a single bed with bathroom. The forward cabin has two bunk beds and a single bed also with bathroom.

No, it is not possible to reserve a single cabin, as all cabins are shared between participants in order to maintain the group travel formula.

The provisions will be purchased by the participants immediately after boarding.

The skipper helps out, but meal preparation is a shared activity among all participants in the experience.

Travelling light is recommended: especially in summer, when you will almost exclusively be wearing swimwear, T-shirts, and shorts on the boat during the day. A sweatshirt and long pants for the evening may be sufficient in the height of summer, while something warmer is preferable in the cooler months, as well as a waterproof windbreaker in case of bad weather or when sailing. Sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun, flip-flops/sandals for going ashore; if you want to wear shoes on board - especially useful when sailing - they must have white soles and be used only on the boat. It may also be useful to bring a small waterproof container for your wallet/cell phone to use when going ashore. For bed linen and towels, please refer to the “What's included” section.

Hair dryers, hair straighteners, and other appliances that operate on 220V (household voltage) can only be used during stops in ports, when a power outlet is available for connection to the electrical grid.

A soft bag is required for transporting luggage, so that it can be easily stowed away. Hard suitcases and trolleys should be avoided, as they are difficult, if not impossible, to stow. A small backpack or beach bag may be useful for shore excursions.

Yes, but outside the boat and downwind, and always with full respect for the other participants. Under no circumstances is it permitted to throw cigarette butts into the sea.

The boat is equipped with both 12V sockets (with USB and/or cigarette lighter connectors) that can normally be used at any time, and 220V sockets that can only be used when docked in ports, once connected to the charging stations on the quay.

At night, we will moor in a bay; there are no stops planned in ports.
