This experience, in a nutshell

SUPER LAST MINUTE WEEKEND: LAST DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE

A fantastic week in the Flottiglia to the Aeolian Islands to discover the beauty of this archipelago and live an unforgettable experience.
It is the ideal holiday for those who like to relax on a sailboat, snorkel, visit characteristic villages and make new friends .

During the day we will sail in search of the most beautiful bays where to bathe and have lunch at anchor, from late afternoon until evening, we go ashore for aperitifs, dinners based on local specialties (in the restaurant but also in the many " street food "fashionistas and appetizing that abound in the islands", or you stay in the harbor to enjoy a dinner on the boat under the stars.
In the evening, then, party in company! It will be great to get to know each other and share this experience in a very fascinating and rich local context, from the clear waters of the Pumice Quarries, to the dark and volcanic rocks that characterize these lands ... and if we are lucky we can also admire the Sciara del Fuoco of Stromboli!

Those who participate in this holiday must be an open and collaborative person: on the boat everyone gives a helping hand to cooking, cleaning the common areas, making the galley and keeping the boat in order, which this week will be our "home".

Program in principle:

Saturday: in the afternoon boarding from Marina di Portorosa, organization for the galley, accommodation on board, dinner all together to meet us
Sunday: early morning departure to Vulcano in the morning, to take a nice dip in the wonderful Grotta del Cavallo, a lunch together. In the afternoon we will sail towards Salina where we will moor to spend the night. We will go ashore in Santa Marina to have a nice aperitif all together and then spend the evening on the island.
Monday: departure to Pollara, always on the Island of Salina, baths and lunch at Lingua where it will be possible to eat the typical "cunzato" bread of Alfredo. In the afternoon sail on Stromboli, dinner all together at the suggestive observatory where, with a little luck, it will be possible to admire the eruptions of the Volcano. Evening all together and night at anchor in Stromboli.
Tuesday: rapid swim in Strombolicchio, morning of baths between Basiluzzo and Lisca Bianca. Mooring at the Panarea buoy and fantastic aperitif at the Raja all together, dinner on the island and then evening with the whole flotilla. Night at anchor in the Panarea buoy.
Wednesday: sailing from Panarea to Lipari, with baths in the bay in the crystal clear blue water of the Pumice Quarries. Mooring in the port, dinner and evening in Lipari.
Thursday: departure and sailing to Filicudi, splendid baths at Canna (the most beautiful place on the island) and mooring at the buoy to spend the night. We will go to earth to make a nice aperitif all together and spend the evening on the island.
Friday: sailing to Vulcano to take a dip in the marvelous Cala Gelso, a lunch all together and leave around 2.30 pm for the Portorosa Marina with return at 6.00 pm. Evening on the ground and holiday closing party.
Saturday: disembarkation by 9 am

Different flotilla in Ionian Greece: nature, new friends and fun

Overall nice experience, but mainly due to the people who participated and the beauty of the places visited. From a human point of view, my skipper and co-skipper are two wonderful and super pleasant people. The organization should be reviewed on some things and there is certainly room for improvement: - in 7 days practically no boat has almost never sailed (I can understand that the wind cannot be controlled, but even when there is sufficient minimum it has not even opened the sails a little just enough to let the crew enjoy the experience, but the impression of many was that there was no desire to unfurl the sails because it was more convenient to travel by motor); - lack of clarity on the program to follow (very often improvised); - confusion about the galley (practically all the boats received an expense that did not fully correspond to the agreed list. If it had been the crew's task to verify, we were not told, perhaps we could have at least pointed out to pay attention since many were at their first experience); - insufficient moments of celebration and socialization (few times we packed with the boats, most of the time they were all "mismatched" and even when the music was played, maybe just 2 evenings, it was turned off quite early. Many of us did not feel the typical spirit of the flotilla); - selection of the crew (some elements proved to be disturbing even before the start, already when booking the holiday, and it was the common idea of many crew members that these elements should not have had the opportunity to participate); - little involvement from the skippers and co-skippers (there was no initial presentation of the various components and between the various crews, which normally happens in other holidays of the same type, but even throughout the holiday it was noticed that they were doing a lot of their business; - inadequate explanation of the main safety rules (we have been extensively explained how to use the toilet, how to arrange personal and galley things, but not what to do or not to do on the boat for our safety and that of others).

Third flotilla experience with different sailing. After the Aeolian and Pontine Islands, Ionian Greece was also a wonderful holiday. A rich and dynamic itinerary. Fantastic group on board Tango I and super positive experience especially thanks to the great professionalism, availability and kindness of the Skipper Vincenzo and the coskipper Nina! Our added value!
