A sailing holiday is simple and informal, you come to unplug, rest and regenerate by living in symbiosis with nature and its rhythms, which at sea are marked by the sun and the wind. The days pass gently between sailing, excursions and stops in the bays for swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing. In the evening you sleep in the roadstead or in the port and go ashore for a visit to discover the characteristic villages.

For sailing cruises you don't need technical notions or previous experience, you need a passion for the sea and travel, good manners towards others, common sense and a pinch of adaptability.

The sailing holiday is suitable for all ages and is very educational for the youngest.

However, good agility and general fitness are required to go down the steps of the boat, cross the gangway and get on and off the tender, the dinghy on board that we will use on many occasions to get on and off the land.

With children on board, it is necessary to plan the cruise according to their needs and their times.

The Captain is able to manage the boat independently and alone; however, in mooring maneuvers where it is necessary to bring a line ashore or in case of adverse conditions, the whole crew is required to cooperate and carry out its instructions. The Captain is very pleased to receive the collaboration of those who want to participate in the performance of the maneuvers, including the possibility of steering, as well as imparting sailing notions on all aspects of the management of the boat.

People come on a boat to have fun and relax and give up many of the comforts we are used to on land: this generates a natural selection between those who choose this type of holiday, people who are ready to adapt and share spaces and respect others. Order and cleanliness are the basic rule for a peaceful coexistence. Very often beautiful things are born from boat holidays friendships, which extend on the ground!

From the beginning of June to the beginning of September the weather is generally nice and very stable in the area. The days of adverse weather can be counted on the fingers of one hand. Sometimes the wind blows particularly strongly, so much so that it discourages you from putting out to sea. In all these cases, a route is chosen that guarantees the safety of the crew and the boat and the serenity of the cruise, favoring, where possible in the event of a forced stop, the landings of greatest interest on land.

Seasickness is a malaise that causes discomfort very similar to motion sickness. It is caused by the movement of the boat on the waves and its unexpected variations. Putting back can help to let it pass and also lie down with your eyes closed, as well as being in the air and looking at the horizon. To prevent it, it is necessary to eat little and often, especially dry foods, avoid coffee, alcohol and dairy products. The best remedy for sailing is to take the helm!

These matters are handled by the Guests. The galley is the supply of food and drinks to be consumed on board. During the cruise it is important that all guests lend a hand, some in maneuvering, some in cleaning, some cooking or cleaning. A good rule is always to alternate roles, which also facilitates socialization on board! Everyone, including the Captain, participates in keeping the boat clean.

The Captain is responsible for your safety and that of the vessel. He takes care to ensure safe navigation, without danger and to make your holiday as pleasant as possible. He checks the weather to manage the itinerary, to make the most of the winds and he will lead you to the most enchanting places He has a watchful eye 24 hours a day and is always ready to intervene to solve any problems. A Captain with proven experience is the first guarantee for a serene cruise.

Starting with the container: it is useless to show up at boarding with rigid suitcases or trolleys and then try to challenge the laws of physics on the incompressibility of solids!! There is just no way to put them on board and they will not be embarked ... Instead, choose a duffel bag, even with wheels as long as it is foldable, or a hiking backpack! Trolleys and princely luggage are the obsession of all skippers ... please leave them at home!

In the Ionian Sea, airports with international connections are Corfu, Lefkada, Preveza, Kefalonia and Zakynthos. In Kalamata in the Peloponnese, there are a few flights during the high season. In the Aegean, Athens, Mykonos and Santorini are connected from April to September with many European cities. In the Dodecanese, Kos and Rhodes offer multiple international connections.

Many islands also have domestic flights that connect them to Athens: Milos, Naxos, Ios, Ikaria, Samos, Leros.

In the Ionian and Aegean the islands are connected to each other and the Cyclades and Dodecanese islands are connected to Piraeus (the port of Athens) by super-fast ships, ferries, hydrofoils and ferries with a multitude of daily trips and itineraries.

Upon embarkation, the Captain will collect 100 euros in cash per person for each Guest, to cover the expenses of the boat (fuel equal to 5 liters of diesel per hour of engine motion), moorings and meals of the Captain himself and for the initial galley (the first replenishment of food and drinks at embarkation). The common fund will then be entrusted to a crew member for the subsequent integration of the galley and will be replenished from time to time or redistributed at the end of the holiday for any leftovers.

The yacht is equipped with both a 220V and 12V system: electronic equipment can be recharged, either via charger or via the USB cable alone . Those who have USB-C should bring the adapter from home. The phone can be used both in port and at sea, but it consumes a lot of energy and should be used sparingly, notifying the Captain. There is a phone on board, there is no need for each Guest to bring his or her own from home! 

The tanks on board are relatively large, but water on the boat must still be considered a scarce resource, to be used sparingly, so that it is available to everyone and that supplies do not become an obsession. The boat is equipped with a boiler of about 50 liters, with hot water produced by the engine: the best strategy is to take a quick hot shower after the last swim of the day.

The boats are equipped with toilets similar in shape to the one in the house, but different in operation. For this reason, nothing but a little paper should be thrown away, otherwise it will become unpleasantly clogged. Don't be afraid to ask, much better one more question than a flooded or unusable bathroom. NeverLand currently mounts all electric boat toilets. 

Smoking is not allowed below deck. Outside it is allowed in respect of non-smoking, downwind and without dropping ashes on the boat. It is absolutely not allowed to throw cigarette butts (or other objects in general) into the sea.

On board we have several masks with snorkels, a few pairs of fins of various sizes and equipment for fishing, trolling and a pair of freediving rifles. There is no way to embark the diving equipment: there are spectacular ones in the area and if you want you can rely on one of the many diving centers. If you have special needs, you can bring your own things, agreeing it in advance with the Captain.
