This experience, in a nutshell

Crossing of the Adriatic (about 60 miles) to be in Pula on Sunday morning. Monday cross the Kvarner to get to Unie, Tuesday go to Punta Kriza (south end of Cres), Wednesday Lošinj (in the marina), Thursday Ilovik, Friday Pula and Saturday morning landing in Venice. apart from the two crossings lasting about 10 hours in which you will be able to sleep most of the time, the other routes are short and all the stops are tested on beautiful islands and safe anchorages.

Lošinj (Losinj, in Croatian) is the most popular island for tourism, for its bays and beaches, and for the richness of its vegetation (there are over 1000 species of plants, with a good percentage of aromatics, which is why it is also called "island of perfume"). Unie (Unije) lies to the W of Lošinj, separated from it by the Unijski kanal, about two miles wide. The island marks the border of Kvarner,

Sansego (Susak), 150 inhabitants, owes its name to the Greek word Sansegos that is oregano, a plant that grows in abundance on the island. Geologically it is different from all the other islands of Croatia, being made up of fine sand resting on a limestone platform. The only village, divided between the upper and lower part, was depopulated following the Second World War when its inhabitants emigrated to the United States of America.

The catamaran has three double cabins for guests and two bathrooms with shower. The large autonomy of water and electricity, and the dinghy with motor to go ashore allow you not to be forced to use the marinas with consequently a considerable economic saving, since the night at the buoy costs a fifth compared to tourist marinas.
By reducing port costs to the bare minimum (one night in the marina and the others at the buoy or pier), the extra 100 euros per person, excluding restaurants, are not exceeded.

Marino is a professional. Competent, excellent "host", he also granted me the helm in the regatta (for many skippers it is unthinkable). Galley to review.

The Barcolana 2018 was truly a unique and unforgettable experience. Marino's boat flies over the water leaving behind boats with crews in uniform. and thanks to Marino's skills even a non-professional crew like ours was able to reach an excellent placement (689 out of 2600!!). Essential boat absolutely perfect for a regatta. Experienced skipper who keeps calm and gives security to everyone. The only drawback is the galley.
