This experience, in a nutshell

The beautiful archipelago of La Maddalena is an ideal place to spend your sailing holidays. Breathtaking landscapes, enchanting beaches, a crystal clear multicolored sea from light blue to deep blue and emerald green. The wind, always present, mitigates the summer heat and makes the area a paradise for all sailors.

Setting sail from the tourist port of Cala Gavetta, in La Maddalena, you can quickly reach the countless beaches and coves which, depending on the direction of the wind, offer safe shelters to spend the evening at anchor admiring the most beautiful sunsets: Cala Coticcio, Cala Serena, Cala Napoletana to name a few. Continue to the island of Spargi, then the island of Budelli, with the suggestive Pink Beach. You can then make it sparse looking at the stars in the enchanting Manto della Madonna between Santa Maria and Razzoli. Sailing in a few hours you can reach the south of Corsica with the islands of Cavallo and the beautiful bay of Lavezzi where dolphins go to sleep.

THE ADVANTAGE OF STARTING DIRECTLY FROM LA MADDALENA?

Arriving in Sardinia by ferry or flight to Olbia, an hour's drive will take you to Palau and then a fast ferry will take you directly to La Maddalena. I chose to embark directly in one of the most beautiful coves of this archipelago to spend the most time among the views of these islands and already in magnificent bays. The big advantage of setting sail from Maddalena is that if the whole crew arrives in the early afternoon, having made the galley in a supermarket that makes the delivery to the pier, by the evening we are already in a roadstead for the first swim and dinner at sunset seen from the boat. On the way back on Friday, being close if the crew prefers, and always weather permitting, you can stay at anchor and return on Saturday morning. So you make 7 full days!

Our itinerary

Our trip starts here:

La Maddalena.

Check-in: 12:00 PM

Our trip ends here:

La Maddalena.

Check-out: 10:00 AM

Leg 1

Saturday

Boarding in the afternoon and assignment of cabins, galley in a supermarket that delivers directly to the pier. Dinner in a restaurant-pizzeria on the harbor.

If all the crew arrived in the early afternoon and we have already settled on board, we can already be at anchor for the evening for a first swim and dinner at sunset.

Leg 2

Sunday

After breakfast, we set sail to reach the island of Spargi for a first swim at Cala Corsara before the boats full of tourists arrive. A tour of the islands to do some sailing and a swim in an uncrowded roadstead to then arrive in the afternoon at the roadstead of the Cavaliere between Santa Maria and Budelli where you still spend the night. Before sunset, we descend with the tender for a visit to the Pink Beach and reach the viewpoint from where we can contemplate the whole archipelago.

Leg 3

Monday

In the morning, after a swim on the Cavaliere beach, we set sail for a short sail to the island of Lavezzi in Corsica, where we will moor at Cala Lazzarina to spend the night. We will find ourselves inside one of the most beautiful bays waiting for the sunset for an aperitif with the amazing scenery of the sun that goes down behind Bonifacio and its white cliffs. If possible, we will make a stop for lunch at Cala Zeri in Cavalò

Leg 4

Tuesday

After a last swim, we set sail to sail inside the Strait of Bonifacio, Mistral permitting. We will pass in front of Capo Pertusato and its cliffs. Stop for lunch at Piana Island. In the evening we will enter the fjord to reach the busy port of Bonifacio. We will go up to the village where we can have dinner in a characteristic restaurant and walk along the narrow streets of Bonifacio.

Leg 5

Wednesday

Return to the Archipelago of La Maddalena hoping for the wind in your sails for a quiet sailing. You reach Caprera, Cala Serena, Cala Napoletana and in the late afternoon Cala Coticcio or Tahiti, as the locals call it. In the evening we will look for a quiet roadstead to spend the night. Every bay will be good for a swim and to relax in the sun.

Leg 6

Thursday

A day dedicated to navigation and swimming in the roadsteads between Caprera, Santo Stefano and Maddalena. In the evening we will reach the roadstead in front of Porto Rafael where we can go down with the tender to visit the square and have an aperitif.

Leg 7

Friday

Last day wandering around the Archipelago. You go wherever you want. You can sail, swim, enjoy the sea and the beautiful landscapes. In the evening we

return to port at La Maddalena

If the crew prefers, and weather permitting, you can stay at anchor on the last night and return to port on Saturday morning, so as to enjoy 7 full days!

Leg 8

Saturday

In the morning, after packing up, we disembark. The holiday is all over at home.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Relaxing weekend between Portovenere and the 5 Terre

Esperienza a dir poco assurda.

Consigliatissimo!
