The splendid archipelago of La Maddalena is an ideal place to spend a sailing holiday. Breathtaking landscapes, enchanting beaches, a multicolored crystalline sea from light blue to deep blue and emerald green. The wind, always present, mitigates the summer heat and makes the area the paradise of all sailors . Leaving from the tourist port of Cala Gavetta, in La Maddalena, you can reach, in a short time, the countless beaches and coves that, depending on the wind direction, offer safe rides to spend even the evening in the bay admiring the most beautiful sunsets: Cala Coticcio, Cala Serena, Cala Napoletana to name a few. Continue to the island of Spargi, then the island of Budelli, with the suggestive Spiaggia Rosa. You can then go for a walk looking at the stars in the enchanting Manto della Madonna between Santa Maria and Razzoli. Sailing in a few hours you reach the south of Corsica with the islands of Cavallo and the beautiful bay of Lavezzi where they go to sleep the dolphins.
MAXIMUM PROGRAM:
Saturday: Boarding in the afternoon and assignment of cabins, galley in a supermarket that makes delivery directly to the pier. Dinner in a restaurant-pizzeria on the harbor.
Sunday: after breakfast we set sail to reach the island of Spargi for a first swim in Cala Corsara before the boats full of tourists arrive. A trip around the islands to do a bit of sailing and a swim in an uncrowded bay to then arrive in the afternoon at the Cavaliere road between Santa Maria and Budelli where you still have to spend the night. Before sunset, go down with the tender for a visit to the Rosa beach and reach the belvedere from where you can contemplate the whole archipelago. For dinner we can ask Mauro the custodian of the island of Budelli: we will bring the galley with us and we will have the opportunity to spend a nice evening to contemplate the stars from the Rosa beach.
Monday: In the morning after a swim in the beach of the Knights we set sail for a short navigation to the island of Lavezzi in Corsica where we will moor in the afternoon at Cala Lazzarina to spend the night there. We will find ourselves inside one of the most beautiful bays waiting for the sunset for an aperitif with the amazing scenery of the sun that descends behind Bonifacio and its white cliffs.
Tuesday: After a last swim we sail to navigate inside the Bocche di Bonifacio, Mistral permitting. We will pass in front of Capo Pertusato and its crags. In the afternoon we will enter the fjord to reach the busy port of Bonifacio. We will go up to the village where we can have dinner in a typical restaurant and walk along the narrow streets of Bonifacio.
Wednesday: return to the Archipelago of La Maddalena hoping for the wind in the stern for a quiet sailing maybe with the spinnaker. You reach Caprera, Cala Serena, Cala Napoletana and in the late afternoon Cala Coticcio or Tahiti, as the locals call it, where we will spend the night in the harbor. Each roadstead will be good for a swim and to relax in the sun.
Thursday: Day dedicated to navigation and swimming in the bays between Caprera, Santo Stefano and Maddalena. In the evening you reach the harbor in front of Port Rafael where we can go down with the tender to visit the square and take a drink.
Friday: Last day wandering around the Archipelago. You go where you want. You sail, take baths, enjoy the sea and the beautiful landscapes. To end the evening at the disco. You moor in the bay in front of Phi Beach, the most fashionable club of the Costa Smeralda for an aperitif waiting for the sunset and then revelry.
Saturday: after night at the disco we set sail early to return to La Maddalena where, unfortunately, the holiday ends.
