This experience, in a nutshell

Lampedusa and Linosa are small, the food is divinely and the sea is wonderful everywhere: whether it is beaches or coves, sand or rocks, you will be enchanted.

The inhabitants of these islands are truly authentic and if you want to take advantage of the opportunity to socialize, you will surely find the right shore. That's why in 2020 we decided to buy a house here!

The context

During the summer the population increases tenfold (at least!) and there are people from all over the peninsula and beyond. Living the experience at sea allows you to avoid the chaos but if someone likes to dance, especially in Lampedusa, they will be spoiled for choice just a 10-minute walk away

Hospitality, as we know, is the art of those who live here even if those who work during the summer reach truly grueling working hours

During the stay, if the weather and sea conditions allow it, we will be able to visit all 3 islands in full but if there is wind we will decide how to best organize the experience. Consider that Lampedusa is a natural protection, on one of the 3 sides you will always find a place to enjoy. If the crew wishes, we can decide to spend 1 night at anchor

It is true that the sea in Lampedusa is like in the Caribbean , but I strongly recommend you to visit the magical places on land. If necessary, you can rent bikes or scooters even for 1 day

Having obtained the title of sailing instructor, I decided to organize this experience in the form of an Educational Cruise. This does not mean that you will have to work hard but simply that, for those who have no experience, it will also be an opportunity to learn the basics of sailing. It's going to be easier than you imagine

Our itinerary

Lampedusa

The sails around Lampedusa are a continuous alternation between navigation and paradisiacal baths in the various coves and at the foot of the slopes of the northern area. Spoilt for choice! If the wind blows from the north, we will stay in the south and vice versa

Lamppost

Lampione is 14 nautical miles from the port of Lampedusa and can be reached with a nice 2.5 hour sail. The sail involves 30/40 minutes of navigation along the coast up to the height of Capo Ponente and then a couple of hours of offshore navigation. Obviously, we will do this navigation when the sea conditions allow it

Linosa

Sailing to Linosa is a bit more challenging because it is about 25 nautical miles (about 5 hours) completely offshore and includes an overnight stay before returning to Lampedusa. This means that, especially if we have an inexperienced crew, we will only go there if we are sure we have the correct conditions on both days
