This experience, in a nutshell

For you who work in August, Velasquez has reserved a flash and very comfortable experience for you!

He takes a break during the 3 days of the August bank holiday and jumps on board in Nettuno, recharging his batteries and without even a day off.

We embark on Thursday afternoon, we will make the galley, and we will return on Sunday August in the late afternoon.

What awaits us during the holiday?

Ponza welcomes you with its thousand shades of blue, dreamy coves and white cliffs sculpted by the wind. During our summer mini-adventure we will explore it far and wide, dropping anchor in the most beautiful roadsteads such as Chiaia di Luna, Cala Feola or Frontone. You can dive into crystal clear waters, relax on the Velasquez sun cushions and let yourself be lulled by the magic of a Ferragosto lived to the rhythm of the waves.

Palmarola, on the other hand, is a wild, uninhabited and surprising corner of paradise. Considered one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean, it will leave you speechless with its natural caves, imposing stacks and its unreal transparencies. We will reach it by sailing with the summer breeze on our faces, and then swim in hidden bays and enjoy unspoiled nature in total relaxation.

We will visit Palmarola, Ponza in all possible roadsteads, and we will sail experiencing a mid-August in the wind and in the cool.

Our itinerary

We will set sail from Nettuno in the late afternoon of Thursday, with all the calm to make the galley and settle on board. After a quiet night sailing or at anchor in the surroundings, we will head to Palmarola, where a day of spectacular baths, caves to explore and relaxation in the sun awaits us on one of the wildest and most fascinating islands of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

On Saturday it will be the turn of Ponza, which will welcome us with its most iconic coves: Frontone, Chiaia di Luna, Cala dell'Acqua... every dip will be a postcard.

On Sunday, after a last breakfast overlooking the sea and a last refreshing swim, we will head for Neptune with the wind in our sails and our heads already full of memories.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

I was not new to flotilla holidays, while it was the first experience on a sailing boat for my friend Titti and I was a bit anxious ... and it was wonderful! We had a lot of fun, thanks to the organization of Admiral Claudio, the skipper Paolo and the fantastic company of our crew. A wonderful itinerary, enchanting sea and beaches, blue lagoon coves ... At every sunset, the moonrise, magical nights in the roadstead under the starry sky. Memories that will remain forever in our hearts. To be redone ... and to be recommended, absolutely! After a week with Velasquez I still don't know if Claudio is a seaman lent to the theater or a stage man lent to the sea! In any case, his professionalism was impeccable: attentive, shrewd and always updated on weather conditions, he guided us with great competence to discover the archipelago of La Maddalena and Corsica. Every decision seemed to be studied to perfection, and at the same time he made us laugh with his irony and the little curtains on board. The destinations were breathtaking: bays and coves to take your breath away, crystal clear water and unforgettable views. The boat, an Oceanis 51.1, was comfortable, spacious and perfectly equipped for a week in the flotilla. What made it even more special was the possibility of sailing: feeling the wind, the sea sliding under the boat and the silence interrupted only by the sound of the waves is truly magical. The crew? Perfect! An atmosphere of fun, complicity and goliardy was created that made every moment special and memorable. An unforgettable experience, made unique by Claudio's expert and caring guidance and Velasquez's professionalism. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to experience the sea safely, with a pinch of irony, lots of laughter and the magic of sailing!

Group travel and wonderful places, exciting sunrises and sunsets. Negative note for the boat, delivered to us dirty and in poor condition, with a clear difference from the other of the flotilla (new and spacious), yet the price paid was the same! It was too small to hold ten people, and the failure of one of the two bathrooms has made us hell the last few days. The organization needs to be reviewed!
