This experience, in a nutshell

Leave with us for a special journey aboard our sailboat, equipped with 4 cabins and 4 bathrooms, driven by a crew who loves the sea, sailing and the authentic flavors of Sicily. From the port of Palermo we will set sail towards the Egadi Islands, ready to reveal their beauty away from the usual itineraries.

On board, in addition to taking care of the sailing maneuvers, I (Emiliano – 51 years old) and my partner (Nila – 39 years old) will take care of you by preparing traditional Sicilian dishes for 4 meals, using the ingredients of the galley. If you like to cook, you can join us and discover some secrets of the island's cuisine!

Start your holiday

We meet in the port on Saturday around 15:00 to make a galley together. After settling into your cabin, in the evening we toast with an aperitif on the boat, offered by us, to break the ice and start off on the right foot!

Navigate without haste

Each day will be a guided journey from the sea, with stops in enchanting places such as San Vito Lo Capo, Scopello and Castellammare del Golfo, as well as the fascinating Egadi Islands. The itinerary, always flexible, will adapt to the wind and nature, giving you unforgettable moments along the coast.

Ready to be carried away by the slow pace of the islands, to experience each day as a discovery and to be enchanted by the beauty of the Egadi Islands?

Our itinerary

The sailing trip starts from Palermo, sailing towards Scopello, with its suggestive stacks and the clear waters of the Zingaro Reserve, ideal for snorkeling and relaxing. Continue towards San Vito Lo Capo, famous for its white sand and fish couscous, or towards Castellammare del Golfo, with the picturesque port and the castle overlooking the sea, both perfect for a stop rich in history and flavors.

Once in the Egadi Islands, the flexible itinerary allows you to explore Favignana, where Cala Rossa and Cala Azzurra offer unforgettable swimming moments, and the lively square invites you to an aperitif at sunset. In Marettimo, the protected marine reserve houses spectacular caves, such as the Grotta del Tuono, to be discovered with the help of local fishermen. Finally, Levanzo surprises with the enchanting Cala Fredda and Cala Minnola, perfect for a last dip.

We return to Palermo on Friday evening, to conclude an experience that combines nature, tradition and relaxation.

The itinerary is flexible and adaptable to the weather, to ensure the best experience.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Aeolian Islands: between sea and authentic flavours

It was an experience that I really enjoyed and that I will definitely repeat. On my first boat holiday I had no particular expectations, but I was fully satisfied and happy. Emiliano is an excellent skipper: experienced, competent, serious and always attentive to the needs of the group. Personally I found him extremely helpful: I had asked for spearfishing equipment and he did his best to make sure I found it on board when I arrived. Only on a few occasions, when asked to change location, did he prefer to say no, always with a great sense of responsibility and clearly explaining the reasons — such as the risk of dangerous seabeds for the anchor or the excessive presence of other boats — to protect everyone's safety and well-being. It should be clarified that Nila was not a hostess, but a travel companion: collaborative, nice, courteous and attentive, who also had the kindness to prepare some good lunches for us. A truly unforgettable experience, which I recommend without hesitation. Of course, it is not a holiday for everyone: without a spirit of adaptation it is better to stay on the ground and the same goes for those who do not know how to behave politely towards others. I believe that the boat is synonymous with "sharing", not the place for those who claim to impose themselves.

Splendid Aeolian Islands, but an experience on board that could be improved. The itinerary to the Aeolian Islands was undoubtedly very beautiful and the islands lend themselves perfectly to a boat holiday. However, there were several aspects of the organization that did not fully convince me. The skipper showed experience in steering the boat, but his attitude was a bit grumpy at times and not always available in responding to our requests. In addition, he often used the common areas – already limited in a sailboat – to relax during the day and slept every evening in the dinette, snoring quite loudly from 22:30/23:00. This made it difficult for us to continue the evening with a chat or a drink in that space. On the economic level I perceived little clarity: at the beginning of the holiday we paid € 320 per person (which included 3 buoys, 2 floating piers and a port), but later we were asked to spend an additional € 300 for a night in port that should have already been abundantly included. Even the payment of fuel, requested in advance at the beginning of the week, surprised me, having never happened to me in previous similar experiences. As for Nila, she was present and friendly, but it should be clarified that she does not play the role of hostess: she does not cook and does not take care of cleaning unless specifically requested, which may be fair to emphasize for those who expect support of this type. Finally, on the evening of the last day in Capo d'Orlando we were asked to have dinner on the ground despite the fact that there were several leftovers in the fridge, with the motivation of having to start cleaning in view of the next group. At the end of the week, I didn't find this detail particularly pleasant. In conclusion, the trip was beautiful for the natural setting of the Aeolian Islands, but I believe that there is room for improvement in the management of hospitality on board and in transparency on costs.

We spent a beautiful week in the paradise of the Aeolian Islands aboard Emiliano and Nila's boat. The boat is comfortable and cared for in every detail. Nila and Emiliano were the perfect hosts, they let us taste several exquisite dishes of Sicilian cuisine prepared by them. They were also excellent travel companions, they guided us around the Aeolian Islands telling us about the history and traditions of the islands and recommended the best places both by sea and by land, thanks to their deep knowledge of the area and the people who live there. But above all, they made us feel like a family, between toasts in the middle of the sea, fun and laughter. They gave us unforgettable moments. Thank you!

Emiliano and Nila are more than just skippers, they were fantastic travel companions, chefs and social media managers, and they also guided us on land with their company and great suggestions. We will definitely repeat with them if possible!
