Approximate distances: Venice ~80 km (about 1-1.5 h), Trieste ~70 km (about 1-1.25 h), Udine ~45 km (about 40-50 min); for islands and places not reachable by car, specify the port of embarkation, but for Lignano the arrival is directly on an urban road with the possibility of parking in the areas dedicated to the locality.

From the stations of the city center there are local connections (buses and taxis) for the final transfer to Lignano Sabbiadoro; long-distance trains arrive in Venice Mestre, Venice Santa Lucia and Trieste, from which regional trains continue to the aforementioned stations.

Travelling light is recommended: especially in summer, when you will almost exclusively be wearing swimwear, T-shirts, and shorts on the boat during the day. A sweatshirt and long pants for the evening may be sufficient in the height of summer, while something warmer is preferable in the cooler months, as well as a waterproof windbreaker in case of bad weather or when sailing. Sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun, flip-flops/sandals for going ashore; if you want to wear shoes on board - especially useful when sailing - they must have white soles and be used only on the boat. It may also be useful to bring a small waterproof container for your wallet/cell phone to use when going ashore. For bed linen and towels, please refer to the “What's included” section.

Hair dryers, hair straighteners, and other appliances that operate on 220V (household voltage) can only be used during stops in ports, when a power outlet is available for connection to the electrical grid.

A soft bag is required for transporting luggage, so that it can be easily stowed away. Hard suitcases and trolleys should be avoided, as they are difficult, if not impossible, to stow. A small backpack or beach bag may be useful for shore excursions.
