This experience, in a nutshell

A boat experience among the wonders of the Pontine Islands, designed to experience the sea, nature and the unique atmosphere of the feast of Santa Candida in Ventotene.

We leave from Nettuno for Palmarola, one of the most fascinating and unspoiled islands of the archipelago, famous for its crystal clear waters and wild coves. The afternoon is dedicated to the first swim, relaxation and an aperitif in the roadstead while the sun sets over the sea, before spending the night under the stars.

The following day we sail towards Ventotene, where the sea offers clear and transparent waters, ideal for swimming and snorkeling, while the arrival in the characteristic Porto Romano introduces the lively atmosphere of the Santa Candida celebrations. Parking at the Roman port is mandatory for the two nights and the total cost is 320 euros to be divided among the participants.

Sunday will be the heart of the experience: a day entirely dedicated to the patron saint's feast of Ventotene, among the traditions of the island, the colors of the paper hot air balloons, the procession of Santa Candida and, finally, the fireworks over the port. A special opportunity to experience Ventotene not only from the sea, but also through its history, its people and its traditions.

On the last day we return to Palmarola for a last swim in its crystal clear waters and a lunch in the roadstead, before sailing to Nettuno.

We spent a beautiful week with Stefano and his wife Rosa in Sicily. Stefano is an experienced and patient skipper, Rosa an empathetic and communicative person: together they are a close-knit and enterprising couple, able to better manage a group of different guests, making everyone feel at ease and creating a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. We hope to have another chance to travel with them soon!

It was a wonderful experience: the Aeolian Islands are a magical place, there is no doubt about it, but I believe that thanks to the skipper Stefano and the sailor Alberto, his son, any wave furrowed by Ulysses' keel can become one in turn. We were lucky, our travel companions at the end of the week became friends rather than crew. If I could, I would leave today. Thank you for everything.
