This experience, in a nutshell

A boat holiday in the Sporades is a slow and fascinating itinerary through some of the most authentic islands in the Aegean. You set sail through turquoise and transparent waters, gliding along coasts embroidered with pine forests, golden beaches and coves reachable only from the sea. Every day offers a new discovery: the lively energy of Skiathos, the unspoiled landscapes of Skopelos, the poetic quiet of Alonissos and the small jewels of the archipelago, where time seems to have stopped. On board, the rhythm is the natural one of the waves: swimming in quiet bays, lunches in the shade of the deck, evening landings in the marinas illuminated by taverns on the sea.

Leg 1

Sunday

Embarkation in Skiathos in the afternoon, accommodation on board and briefing with the crew. The first night is spent in the port, with the possibility of taking a walk through the streets of the center and having dinner in a tavern facing the sea.

Leg 2

Monday

Departure to the islet of Tsougria, perfect for a first swim in the crystal clear waters and a relaxing break. Continue to Panormos Bay in Skopelos, with time to swim, sunbathe, and enjoy the views. Night at anchor or near the village.

Leg 3

Tuesday

Sail to Skopelos Town, a picturesque port with white alleys and panoramic views. Walk through the streets of the center, visit the local churches and the possibility of dinner in a traditional tavern.

Leg 4

Wednesday

Route to Alonissos, through pine forests and turquoise waters. Stops for swimming or snorkeling along the way, arriving in Steni Vala or Patitiri for the night. Small quiet ports, ideal for enjoying the quiet and authenticity of the island.

Leg 5

Thursday

Day dedicated to the Sporades Marine Park. Sail to Kira Panagia, an almost uninhabited island with pristine bays. Snorkeling, relaxation in transparent waters and night at anchor immersed in nature and the silence of the sea.

Leg 6

Friday

Return to Skopelos south, with stops in the bays of Agnontas or Limnonari, perfect for swimming and beach walks. Relaxation and the possibility of dining in a typical tavern.

Leg 7

Saturday

Last sail to Skiathos, we spend the last night in the roadstead in a quiet bay, enjoying the sea and the quiet.

Leg 8

Sunday

Route to the port of Skiathos where we will say goodbye. A week dedicated to the crystal clear sea, sailing, secret bays and the authentic beauty of the Sporades.

My wife and I have just spent an unforgettable week in the Sporades islands on a beautiful, extremely comfortable and welcoming sailboat. Skipper Gianfranco proved to be an exemplary professional, very prepared and always attentive to everyone's safety. Thanks to his knowledge of the area, he took us to coves sheltered from the wind, making us discover real corners of paradise In addition to his technical skills, he was able to create, right from the start, a relaxed and fun atmosphere on board; He has always been very helpful in explaining sailing techniques, advising things to see on land, showing us the best places to taste local delicacies or simply having a chat in front of a sunset. A big thank you to Gianfranco.

I have taken several sailing holidays, some of them with Sailsquare. Gianfranco is certainly a man of the sea. Unfortunately, my experience was not positive. The atmosphere on board has always been very tense, linked to the fact that it makes you feel like you are an (unwanted) guest in his home. On several occasions he addressed other members of the group in a rude and rude way, if not to me. In a week he has never used the tender nor allowed anyone to use it. Finally, I did not find the economic requests transparent: on the site a sum of 50 euros is specified as a starter pack (in addition to the common fund) while the day before leaving he sent a sort of personal vademecum in which he requested a total of 500 euros from the 8 participants, as well as requesting, before returning to port, an additional 50 euros. Ultimately, beyond the economic aspect which is not very relevant to me, I did not spend a relaxing week off work but in a very heavy and negative climate. I am very respectful of others and it would be correct to receive the same... especially if they pay you.

A beautiful experience shared with unknown but amiable and sociable people. We were lucky. Gianfranco, the skipper is very good and this makes navigation safe and relaxed. The Sporades are beautiful, very green and with a crystal clear sea. Super recommended.

Just returned from a wonderful week on [hidden] sailing among the northern islands of the decadonneso. Gianfranco is a professional, empathetic, sunny and fun skipper as only a true Romagna can be. Gianfranco immediately created a great team spirit by taking into account the characteristics of each crew member and creating a serene and cohesive atmosphere. I highly recommend this holiday, super location, the boat is comfortable and well maintained and Gianfranco a guarantee for a free fun and safe holiday.
