This experience, in a nutshell

Also this year, in conjunction with the most awaited event for lovers of sailing and culinary delicacies, we set sail for the squid festival in Capraia.

Weather permitting, for the more daring, we will take the last swim of the season!

The squid festival in Capraia, since 2002 is an unmissable event that closes the summer tourist season: here the summer ends with this festival!

It consists of two main events: The Fishing Competition and the Festival itself.

We will sail aboard a sailboat, model Beneteau Oceanis 46.1 year 2021 of 14.60 meters, equipped with 5 cabins and 3 bathrooms.

On Saturday and Sunday along the quay of the port, you can taste all squid specialties prepared by the island's restaurants. We will be moored right on the marina where the festival takes place!

THE FISHING COMPETITION

For those interested, the fishing competition will take place, you can participate from land or on a sailing boat but not on a motor boat. The regulations and the registration procedure will be published shortly.

For the occasion, the island is literally invaded by thousands of people and the port is filled with stands set up by the restaurants of the Island of Capraia, hundreds of boats and hundreds of fishermen participating in the Squid Fishing Competition!

The common fund will be collected at the time of boarding after your arrival and will be managed among all participants. The per capita share depends on the expenses incurred and the number of people on board.

Just returned. It was a beautiful holiday, indescribable places, definitely to be redone. Leonardo the skipper very attentive to safety and really experienced, handled a problem perfectly. As for the boat, it needs maintenance. However, I recommend it to everyone. Terry.
