This experience, in a nutshell

The Sporades are an enchanting archipelago in the north-western Aegean Sea, consisting of eleven islands and islets. Four main islands: Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos and Skyros and some smaller islands and atolls. They are characterized by a lush coastline, with green pine forests lapping the sea, crystal clear waters, solitary coves and beautiful beaches.

Each island has its own unique atmosphere, its own characteristics and its own grace: they are therefore ideal for a holiday that combines relaxation, unspoiled nature and fun. On the eastern side of the archipelago, the National Marine Park has been established for years now, an oasis of rare beauty where it is possible to admire the Mediterranean Monk Seal, which will surprise lovers of nature and photography.

Skiatos is the westernmost one, despite being the smallest it is the busiest and liveliest thanks to its international airport. It has an area of only 42 square km but has over 70 sandy beaches (a rarity in Greece) and coves. Peaceful Skopelos boasts a picture-perfect natural harbor and beautiful pine forests. Further east, Alonissos is home to the National Marine Park, where the Mediterranean monk seal lives protected. which is not difficult to meet The island emerges from the sea as a green and luxuriant mountain covered with dense pine forests, oak woods, strawberry trees and fruit trees. It is perhaps the most beautiful island of the Sporades and one of the most beautiful in all of Greece. Further south, Skyros is renowned for its cuisine and traditional craftsmanship in woodworking and ceramics. The whole archipelago is dotted with rocks, atolls, uninhabited islets, which offer shelter for stops in the roadstead and to visit caves and stacks.

During the summer months the Sporades islands are beaten by a generally present wind, but not constant or too strong as it happens in the Cyclades, swept by the fearsome Meltemi from July to September, which makes navigation too demanding and not very relaxing.

At the Sporades, on the other hand, the boat cruise will flow quietly, you can sail but the sea will not be treacherous. You travel pushed by the wind, in silence, without haste. These characteristics, together with its unspoiled and lush nature, make them ideal for beginners, those who come to relax and for families. A perfect itinerary and still little traveled by lovers of sailing holidays, far from the mass tourism of the largest and most famous islands.

Our itinerary

Our trip starts here:

Skiathos.

Check-in: 5:00 PM

Our trip ends here:

Skiathos.

Check-out: 8:00 AM

Leg 1

Boarding

In the afternoon, boarding begins, gets on board and after the skipper's safety briefing settles into the cabins. We embark the galley and go out for a walk in the center, visit the island and plan the next few days according to the weather and get to know each other over a good aperitif. Dinner in a typical Greek tavern.

Leg 2

Going out to sea

You go out to sea for a first stop in a bay on the nearby island of Tsougaria, perfect for diving into the sea for a refreshing swim, snorkeling or playing with SUP. From here we proceed to Skopelos, where we will have lunch in the roadstead and then enter the bay of Panormos, where we will spend the night

Leg 3

Da Skopelos ad Alonissos

We leave Skopelos heading to the lush Alonissos, perhaps the most beautiful of the Northern Sporades, with crystal clear waters lapping verdant hills. We enjoy the calm and beauty of the landscape, the enchanted sea between relaxation, snorkeling and some well-deserved relaxation on the beach.

Leg 4

Marine Park of the Sporades

We take the sea heading northeast to visit the most remote islands of the Sporades Islands Marine Park. Fingers are crossed in the hope of being able to spot a specimen of the very nice and shy Monk Seal and7o to come across a group of dolphins that roam these immaculate waters.

Leg 5

Sailing westwards

Carried by the wind, we head south-east and choose a bay to take a lunch break, a swim and a bit of relaxation. We continue in search of a bay for the night, between Alonissos and Skopelos, in the port or in the roadstead and enjoy a good dinner in a typical tavern facing the sea.

Leg 6

Return to Skiatos

Very calmly, we continue the descent towards Skiatos, alternating navigation with one or two stops in the bay. We stop for the night in a protected roadstead and the next morning we enter the port to begin disembarking. The holiday is over, we exchange photos, hug each other and promise to meet again!

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

The 10 days on a sailing boat were beautiful. An experience that filled my eyes and heart... it would not have been such if I had not sailed in the company of beautiful people with whom a pleasant connection was created. I thank the "Super Skipper Andrea", a professional: competent, reliable and generous. A holiday that I recommend to those who love the sea and freedom!

Andrea is a professional, always ready to make you happy! We visited beautiful places and in rather challenging wind and sea conditions, which only an expert sailor could make so pleasant!
