Guadeloupe is part of the Leeward Islands and stands out for its butterfly shape . In the eastern wing, Grand-Terre , there is Pointe-à-Pitre , the largest city on the island and the center of tourism. The western wing, called Basse-Terre , is less developed and dominated by an imposing national park. A narrow channel called the Salt River separates the two halves of the island.
Nearby are Marie Galante , which offers fantastic snorkeling, and the islet of Gosier with its large coral reef.

ITINERARY 8 DAYS / 7 NIGHTS
Day 1 - Saturday: Pointe-à-Pitre
Boarding at Marina Bas du Fort on Grande-Terre, the largest city in Guadeloupe. We sail for 30 minutes to Îlet du Gosier, on the south-western coast, which is known for its spectacular coral reef and quiet beaches. It is a wonderful place for snorkeling; also nearby, on the wreck of a sunken tug. Night on board, at anchor.
Day 2 - Sunday: Marie-Galante
After breakfast, two hours of sailing to Marie-Galante, the island of one hundred windmills, of which 70 are still visible today. We will arrive in Anse Canot on the west coast, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Try the local rum, which is said to be the best in the world. Lunch on board.
Option *: island bus tour (about 3 hours) where you will see imposing ruins of the island's sugar factory, windmills and the large castle, which reminds us of the island's past wealth. You will visit a museum, a cassava mill and a rum distillery.
Dinner and night on board.
Day 3 - Monday: Dominica
After breakfast, we sail for four hours to Dominica, the 'natural island of the Caribbean'. It is one of the least developed islands in the Caribbean and the mountainous and volcanic scenery is unspoiled. We will arrive in Portsmouth and perform other explorations after having experienced customs and immigration practices. You will be close to the island's only white sand beach and Cabrits National Park with its hiking trails. Lunch on board.
Option *: rowing boat trip on the Indian River and back through fruit plantations and the village of Portsmouth.
Dinner and night on board.
Day 4 - Tuesday: Dominica
Breakfast and further exploration of the island.
Option *: island bus tour with a guide that includes North Road, the Amerindian Kalinago Reserve, stop in the National Park, the impressive natural 'Emerald Pool' waterfall in the rainforest and the south and west coast of the island. You will have lunch in a restaurant in the rainforest and see the famous Trafalgar waterfalls (60 m high) with a guide. You will return to the boat through the capital, Roseau, and along the west coast. Dinner and night on board.
Day 5 - Wednesday: Pigeon Island
After breakfast we sail to the west coast of Guadeloupe: about seven hours, with a couple of essential stops along the way. We will have lunch at anchor, downwind to the island. After lunch, three hours of sailing to the Cousteau Reserve in front of Pigeon Island, where you can see corals, tropical fish, turtles and humpback whales. It is one of the most renowned diving locations in the world. Dinner and night on board.
Day 6 - Thursday: Islands of Saints (Les Saintes)
After breakfast, you can relax and enjoy water activities from the boat, snorkeling, swimming and paddleboarding. If you like diving, there is a possibility to do it with local clubs. After lunch we will sail for three hours in the archipelago of Saintes with its eight islands, mooring in Pain de Sucre. Dinner and night on board.
Day 7 - Friday: Islands of Saints (Les Saintes)
After breakfast we will head towards the bay of Terre de Haut, the main island and one of the two inhabited islands in the archipelago. We will anchor in the bay and you can do some exploration on land. The island has perfect beaches for swimming and snorkelling.
Option *: tour of the village and walk to Fort Napoleon, which is now a museum. You will have the most wonderful view from the top of the hill, where it is worth taking a walk.
Lunch on board and then free time before sailing for four hours at the Îlet du Gosier. Dinner and night on board.
Day 8 - Saturday: Pointe à Pitre
After breakfast you will disembark around 10 am at the Bas du Fort marina.
