Brief description of the holiday
DAY 1: Cherbourg
Reception from 1 am to 11 pm: you will be able to discover the charm of this city, the starting point of the great transatlantic races and the last home port of the Titanic. To relive this epic, you can visit the Cité de la Mer a stone's throw from the port. Nostalgic for the films of Jacques Demy, a visit to the famous umbrellas of Cherbourg is essential while strolling along the quays. Free evening and night on board.
DAY 2: Cherbourg - Weymouth 63 miles
Tactical and sporty crossing of the Channel and the rails taken by the freighters before reaching Weymouth, very famous seaside resort. Walk to the Gardens and Nothe Fort, a magnificent site overlooking Portland Harbor and Weymouth Bay.
DAY 3: Weymouth - Torquay 49 miles
Departure for Torquay, English Riviera, where the novelist Agatha Christie stayed. On arrival you can enjoy the large sandy beaches, visit and stroll in the city. Anchorage near Torquay
DAY 4: Torquay - Plymouth 45 miles
We will leave Torquay to go to Plymouth, a town of history and known for its picturesque Barbican district and the famous Mayflower which left, with no return, for the new world. Overnight in or near Plymouth.
DAY 5: Plymouth - Falmouth 38 miles
Depart for Falmouth where you can visit Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII, and Trebah Garden with subtropical and century old plants. It should be noted that this is one of the most impressive gardens in the South of England. Overnight in Falmouth or surroundings.
DAY 6: Falmouth - The Isles of Scilly: 60 miles
We will leave Falmouth and head to the Isles of Scilly.
DAYS 7 AND 8: The Isles of Scilly
Anchorages in the Islands with visits to Saint Mary's, Bryher, Saint Agnes and Tresco. Saint Mary's is the most populated and most extensive island, you can discover its many coves and castles. Tresco is known for its famous subtropical garden where exotic plants grow from all over the world. Thanks to the warm currents of the Gulf Stream, which bathe the islands, you can also enjoy the wide sandy beaches and the mild climate. You will be surrounded by wild nature and many uninhabited islets. The Scilly are a little gem untouched by mass tourism.
DAY 9: The Isles of Scilly - Penzance 35 miles
We will leave Scilly for Penzance, a town located at the far tip of Cornwall. You can also go to Cape Lizard, the southernmost point in Great Britain where we will set off together, on foot, to discover St Michael Mount, a miniature replica of Mont Saint Michel, accessible at low tide. Overnight in Penzance on or near the boat.
DAY 10: Penzance - Helford River 32 miles
On the way to the Helford River estuary. A real tourist attraction, the Helford River will surprise you for its setting. From the sailboat, we will discover a multitude of coves whose calm and beauty you will appreciate. Night at anchor in one of the many coves.
DAY 11: Helford River - Salcombe 51 miles
Kingsbridge Estuary: Very popular with sailors and vacationers, this estuary offers many beaches. But you can also opt for a visit to Salcombe, with its fishing and marina port. It is a highly rated holiday resort in the UK. Overnight in or near Salcombe.
DAY 12: Salcombe River - Guernsey 65 miles
We will cross the MANCHE again to reach St Peter's Port where Victor Hugo lived. Free tour. Night at the port
DAY 13: Guernsey - Alderney 20 miles
Discovering the wildest of the Channel Islands. Disembarkation by taxi-boat. Beach and typical pub or walk to Bird Island. Night at anchor in Braye
DAY 14: Alderney - Cherbourg 23 miles
After having faced the famous Raz Blanchard, famous for its currents, we will disembark in Cherbourg
