Welcome aboard !
A week to discover sailing or improve your skills. The stay will allow you to approach the settings of the sail, the piloting of the boat, the reading of the maps and how to navigate with the tides in the English Channel with currents deemed strong and one of the largest tidal ranges in the world.
Depending on the wind, depending on the sanitary conditions, you will sail either towards the Anglo Normandes and the Chausey Islands, or towards Barfleur and Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, a favorite village of the French, or towards the Isle of Wight or the Northern Brittany, to the island of Bréhat.
Times visits between navigations will be proposed to you to discover the surroundings. Night shifts if the crew is ready and technical enough.
See you on board very soon!

DUFOUR 50 CLASSIC is a boat of 15m.
After sailed in the Caribbean, it has been moved to SAINT NAZAIRE and then CHERBOURG in May 2014.
The port is in deep water, which allows to be free of our movement. The boat can leave and return to port at any time. This specificity gives an appreciable freedom of navigation because most of the ports located in HIPS must cope with the tide. It has 10 berths with 3 double cabins and 4 bunks. But in order to be comfortable in navigation, the crew will not exceed 8 people.
it has a large sail and a genoa of 55 m2, a spinnaker of 200 m2, a solent. The electronic equipment ensures optimum safety: an AIS GPS radar, a fixed VHF, a RAYMARINE electronic control unit.
