Panarea: Trekking excursion - We leave the worldliness?
Length: about 8km, Difference in altitude 421m; Duration: 3-4 h - Difficulty: medium.

Once in Punta del Corvo, the highest point, you look out over the cliffs that plunge down to the sea and are home to an extraordinary biodiversity: many Sicilian endemic plants, including the very rare Panarea silene (Silene hicesiae), discovered here for the first time. in the 1980s, along with a small colony of queen's falcon. Going south, a short detour allows you to visit the village of Punta Milazzese, dating back to the Bronze Age, which dominates the splendid bay of Calajunco and the Zimmari beach where, before returning to the port, we can cool off with a swim in the sea.
Stromboli: Trekking excursion - Not just a volcano
Length: about 6km, Difference in height 290m; Duration: 3-4 h - Difficulty: medium-easy.
Although it is not immediately perceptible from the sea, Stromboli preserves splendid examples of scrub and small holm oak groves, frequent along the first part of this route; a must is a visit to the old cemetery, dating back to the early twentieth century, whose tombs are decorated with majolica tiles. Continue through the San Bartolo flow, emitted during an eruption in Roman times, and the deep incision of Vallonazzo, which separates the volcanic products of the Vancori from the more recent ones of the Neo-Stromboli (13000-5000 years ago), up to reach the Sciara del Fuoco, on which the slag emitted during the continuous explosions of the volcano still roll. From here, the path enters the extensive reeds and finally reconnects to the town, in the Piscità district where we can stop for a refreshing swim before returning to the port.
