Outline program (except in adverse weather conditions)

Sunday:

Boarding at 6 pm at the Marina di Porto Pignataro in Lipari.

If you are already in Lipari on Saturday or Sunday morning, while we take care of sanitizing and arranging the boat , do not miss its beauties from the land.

While waiting for check-in, you can leave your luggage at the Noleggio da Luigi , right in front of the hydrofoil dock, where you can rent cars, scooters, quads and Mehari.

Lipari has a thousand-year history. The Greeks already called it "Lipara", which meant brilliant and fertile, and its coasts were particularly sought after by fishermen in search of fortune who, sporadically, approached the coasts to pick the juicy fruits that grew on the banks.

  • the Archaeological Museum of Lipari which stands on the rhyolithic rock of the "Castle" of Lipari, a sort of natural fortress, used by the populations settled on the island to defend themselves from attacks and invasions and is the testimony of all the cultures and traces of the peoples who they occupied the territory;
  • in Marina Corta the seventeenth-century Church of San Giuseppe close to a wonderful white beach;
  • a walk on Corso Vittorio Emanuele , with souvenir shops to taste a delicious Sicilian granita, an aperitif at "La Precchia" or a "pane cunzatu";
  • the Chiesa della Catena , in the Quattropani district. A small and silent church that watches over the island of Lipari, and from the top of its cliff offers a perfect place of spiritual retreat where the view leaves no room for imagination.
  • Near the Cathedral of San Bartolomeo stands the imposing beauty of the Norman Cloister , a structure commissioned by King Roger II which is part of the monastery for which it was built. Then restored in 1978, it remains one of the elements that most celebrate the Roman era of the whole Lipari;
  • The Belvedere di Quattrocchi , four kilometers from the heart of Lipari. The site offers one of the most beautiful views of Sicily thanks to a hill from which you can admire the stacks of Pietralunga and Petra Menalda, the beach of Valle Muria and, of course, the imposing Volcano that towers silently in the landscape.

If you prefer a day at the beach, the Spiaggia Bianca or Papesca in Canneto may be the place for you: it is made up of sand and, for the most part, of gravel. It is famous for its splendid bay with intense turquoise waters. Along the beach it is possible to find several tourist areas equipped with sun beds and umbrellas.

At 6 pm, at the Marina di Porto Pignataro, it's finally time to get to know each other. A chat, an aperitif, a short briefing on equipment, safety on board and occupancy of the cabins. For those who still do not feel tired, the evening can continue in the lively center of Lipari or alternatively with a good dinner at the restaurant on the harbor.

Monday:
After waking up and having breakfast in the Porto Pignataro of Lipari, we will sail the east coast of Vulcano and cross the Porto di Levante where there are the underwater fumaroles that emit such a vapor as to make this stretch of sea a real natural whirlpool. For lunch we will be in Gelso , a beautiful black sandy beach, solitary and not very crowded, dominated by a very suggestive lighthouse and from which it is possible to admire the Saracen coast as well as Mount Etna.

In the afternoon we will set the bow towards the North, on the west coast, where we will discover the pool of Venus and the Grotta del Cavallo and several bays that hide many small secrets, beautiful rock walls and sea beds that are the natural habitat for a very rich flora and fauna. marina.

Towards evening, always with the bow to the north, we will be able to admire the stacks of Lipari and a magical sunset before landing in Salina for an unforgettable “da Alfredo” granita, dinner and night at anchor.

Tuesday:
Departure in the direction of Filicudi . For lunch time we will be in the village of Pecorini a Mare , with a stop at the Sea Turtle Emergency Department and then bow towards Alicudi , the most distant and wildest of the Aeolian Islands, one of those places where time has stopped, the life flows slowly in contact with unspoiled, harsh and lonely nature. There are no discos, pubs, banks and ATMs, but only a small restaurant with a unique atmosphere or fishermen willing to host you at their home for dinner, paths suitable for the mule pass, the only means of transport on the island, lava stone paths and lots of tranquility. Night at the buoy in the harbor.

Wednesday:
Sweet awakening on the island of Alicudi. If you want to go trekking, you will find yourself walking on ancient lava stone stairways, expertly made by the expert hands of the old inhabitants of the island which still represent the only communication routes today.

Then head to Filicudi where we can enjoy a swim at the Grotta del Bue Marino and admire La Canna , a stack that rises from the blue of the abyss for more than 70 meters.

In Porto , in the afternoon, we will be able to taste Sicilian granitas in the only bar, go up to Capo Graziano to visit the prehistoric village or rent a scooter to reach the viewpoint and enjoy a wonderful sunset. Here we will spend the night in the harbor.

Thursday:
This morning we are ready to sail to the bay of Pollara on the island of Salina . Here the vegetation is truly luxuriant, virgin and unspoiled, so much so that it was chosen as the set for the film “Il Postino”. Then head towards Basiluzzo , a small rock of volcanic origin characterized by a pure white color. We will then continue towards Stromboli , the volcano in permanent activity. Climbing its slopes as far as permitted, we will be able to enjoy the truly unforgettable spectacle of the Sciara di Fuoco . Night at anchor in the bay of Scari.

Friday:
Upon awakening, we are ready to sail anchor and reach the rocks of Lisca Bianca , its seabed and sulfur springs. We will then continue towards Cala Junco di Panarea, an amphitheater-shaped bay, bordered by rock formations which, together with the seabed and the sun's rays, give the sea wonderful colors ranging from intense blue to emerald green. On the top the remains of a prehistoric village. From here, the town can be reached on foot in 20 minutes or with a strictly electric golf car. We will spend the night at anchor in Cala Junco or in the adjacent Cala Zimmari.

Saturday:
The program of the last day foresees to drop anchor at the White Beaches of Lipari where the volcanic nature of the Aeolian Islands is tangible on the seabed made up of the sediments of the white pumice and the sea is particularly warm and of an intense turquoise. Here there are some piers that were once used to transport the extracted goods.

The cruise ends on Saturday around 4pm.

You can still stay on board on Saturday evening, you will be our guests.

In this case, the disembarkation must take place on Sunday by 8.30 am in order to allow us to sanitize and prepare the boat for the next crew.

NB: An integral part of the crew will be the small and tender Tancredi, a little dog that will give pampering to anyone who allows it.

Aeolian Islands. On a sailing boat among the 7 pearls of the Tyrrhenian Sea, an unspoiled paradise - Hostess on board

Consigliatissima!
