review about WEEK END OF THE PONTINE ISLANDS ON A LARGE 14 METERS September 2022
with Andrea M. 38 years old
The Pontine archipelago, spectacular and incomparable, comes in a great variety of forms, in a surprising set of naturalistic "diversities".
These are 6 islands: Gavi, Zannone, Palmarola, Ventotene, Santo Stefano and the largest, Ponza, from which the archipelago takes its name. Magnificent islets, where the turquoise and transparent sea alternates with the immense granite peaks, stacks and caves that make the Pontine archipelago one of the most surprising areas in Italy.
In a weekend we will visit Ponza and Palmarola, the two most beautiful islands of the whole archipelago!!
Day 1 – Nettuno The meeting is scheduled in the port of Nettuno (RM), where the boat will be delivered at approximately 17:00. We advise all our participants to arrive in the early afternoon, around 2.00 pm, to have time to organize the galley, have a short briefing with the skipper and then settle into the cabins on board. 3, 2, 1, WE SAIL!!! Direction Palmarola, the first dinner will be on board under the stars, we will sail at night to the island of Palmarola, where we will spend the night at anchor.
Day 2 – Palmarola & Ponza The awakening will be like true sailors, a dip in the crystalline waters of Palmarola, breakfast on board, and a bit of well-deserved RELAX, in the afternoon, bow at 136° towards Ponza (distance 8 miles, estimated time 1- 2 hours). We will moor in the harbor at Frontone, a few more swims in the crystal clear waters of Ponza and then all ashore! We'll go to the moonlit terraces to enjoy sun salutations and an evening of music and lots of laughter.
Day 3 The last scheduled stop, before returning to the port of Nettuno, will be a surprise: based on the weather conditions and the time available to us, we will decide which cove or beach to stop at. In the early afternoon we will return to Nettuno, covering the last miles of our holiday.
NB: The itineraries are NOT BINDING, they may be changed at the unquestionable judgment of the captain, based on the weather and sea conditions or due to force majeure, should they lead to lack of safety for guests, crew and vessel.
THE BOAT: Cyclades 43.4 with 3 double cabins, 1 bunk and 2 bathrooms
The Cyclades series was built to meet the needs of charter companies who wanted bulky and comfortable boats.
Our Cyclades has been completely refitted, new awnings, polished hull and deck, new sea cocks, all LED lighting.
Equipped with USB sockets, fridge, 2.70 m tender and cushions for the benches in the external cockpit.
