This experience, in a nutshell

Portorosa - Vulcano

Boarding in the morning in the marina of Portorosa, Furnari (Messina).

Once the galley is filled and we take our seats in the cabin we are ready to set sail: we leave Sicily behind us and with a fresh crosswind we sail towards Vulcano which welcomes us from its always active crater. We spend the night in Vulcano in the bay.

Vulcano - Panarea

After a good breakfast of mulberry granita.

We head towards Panarea, stopping in Lipari for a refreshing swim under the pumice quarries. Visit to the most fashionable of the islands and night at anchor

Panarea - Stromboli

After enjoying the classic granita, bath in the gaseous bubbles of Lisca Bianca and stop in Basiluzzo. We head towards the Sciara del Fuoco, on the side of the island of Stromboli where the volcanic materials emitted in the eruptive explosions from the main crater of the volcano accumulate.

The spectacle that Stromboli offers us with its continuous eruptions is unique and thrilling.

Stromboli - Salina

Leaving Stromboli we head to Salina which is the greenest island of the Aeolian Islands and, for those who love the mountains, the extinct volcano of Monte Fossa delle Felci with its 962 meters. It's an irresistible challenge.

Stops and swims while visiting all the most beautiful bays, such as Lingua and Capofaro. Evening on land to taste the famous granita and bread cunzatu at Alfredo in Lingua.

Salina - Filicudi

Leaving Santa Marina di Salina we stop for a refreshing swim in Pollara on the western side of Salina, the natural set of the film The Postman. The morning is spent diving into the sea, relaxing in the sun and walking on the island. In the afternoon, departure to Filicudi and night in Pecorini a mare, famous for the aperitif at the Saloon.

Filicudi - Lipari

After breakfast, swim at the Canna and the Grotta del Bue Marino.

Detour to Alicudi and then to Lipari for the night. We take advantage of the stop in Lipari for an excursion to the Castle of Lipari which stands on the sea, in a rich archaeological area. We are in the upper part of the city and from there you can dominate the entire bay of Marina Lunga and Marina Corta and the lower town. Night at the mooring so you can go ashore.

Lipari - Portorosa

We stop for a swim in Vulcano, a mulberry granita while the more daring decide to climb the volcano. Back on board, we head towards Gelso, the southern part of the island, where we stop for a swim and for a last goodbye to the islands. Before sunset we set sail again towards Sicily.

Dinner in a trattoria and overnight stay in Portorosa. For those with special needs, it is possible to disembark as early as Friday evening.

Portorosa

It's time to say goodbye. Disembarkation is scheduled for 9 a.m., but the desire to get back on the road is very strong. We exchange addresses with our travel companions and leave with the promise of meeting again soon, another sea trip and many other islands are there waiting for us!

Let's discover the Aeolian Islands together by sailing

Esperienza promossa a pieni voti.

Grazie Mario. David e Claudia
