This experience, in a nutshell

A week of authentic navigation along one of the most fascinating routes of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

We set sail from Lido di Ostia, the gateway to the sea of Rome, to live a one-way experience that combines the charm of the crossing with the pleasure of discovery, until the arrival in the heart of the Etruscan Coast, in San Vincenzo.

Boarding and briefing, then the sails are hoisted, leaving the Lazio coast behind. The first stretch is pure navigation: wind, open horizon and the magic of the sea that changes color with the light of sunset. First among our stops is Monte Argentario with its jagged coasts full of coves that can only be reached by sea.

We continue towards the Island of Giannutri, the first of the pearls of this archipelago. Harsh and wild, with its sickle shape it reminds us of its volcanic origins. Its deep seabed makes it the ideal spot for a dip with a mask and take a look at the treasures it hides even under the surface of the sea between Cala Maestra and Cala Spalmatoio.

The island of Giglio with transparent waters, granite coves and the picturesque Giglio Porto. Possibility of swimming in Cala dell'Allume or snorkeling among the seabed rich in marine life.

Elba Island, the largest of the archipelago, surprises with the variety of its landscapes: white beaches such as Sansone, historic villages such as Capoliveri and Porto Azzurro, fiery sunsets and emerald waters. Here navigation alternates between panoramic sails and unforgettable swimming stops.

Capraia is perhaps the wildest of the archipelago of all of them. Also of volcanic origin, it offers spectacular scenery such as Cala Rossa and deep and clear seabed. Here nature dominates unchallenged, between intense scents of Mediterranean scrub and absolute silence.

With favorable weather conditions, navigation can go as far as the coasts of Corsica, perhaps touching the wild Cap Corse. An experience that adds the charm of the international: transparent waters, remote bays and the thrill of landing in another land.

We'll sail through the heart of the largest marine park in Europe: a mosaic of islands, protected nature and some of the clearest waters in the Mediterranean.

Arrival in San Vincenzo. The final landing place is among the long golden beaches of the Etruscan Coast. Last toast at sunset, with the miles traveled and the satisfaction of a real crossing in our eyes.

Our trip ends here:

San Vincenzo.

Check-out: 10:00 AM

Leg 1

First Day Monte Argentario

Flexible boarding from 10:00 am, cabin accommodation, safety briefing and navigation plan.

As soon as we are ready, we set sail north, mainsail ashore. The first coastal miles are covered. The first few hours are used to become familiar with the boat, to distribute the roles on board and why not, to get at the helm to experience the thrill of steering a sailboat.

In the afternoon, the profile of the Argentario will appear on the horizon. Transparent coves such as Cala Grande, Cala del Gesso or Cala dello Sbarcatello will offer the first swim of the week.

Aperitif at sunset.

Night at anchor, lulled by the sea.

First Day Monte Argentario

Leg 2

Second Day Giannutri

After a good breakfast and a morning swim, we head for Giannutri, the wildest and most collected. Stop at Cala Spalmatoio or Cala Maestra for relaxation, diving, snorkeling or even better a short walk to discover the island and the remains of the Roman Villa.

After lunch, the sails are hoisted, the bow points to the island of Giglio.

Partial circumnavigation of the island in search of the best roadstead.

Stop for snorkeling among rocky seabeds and turquoise water between Spiagga delle caldane and Cala Smeralda. Possibility to go ashore for a walk in Giglio Porto or climb to the medieval village. Dinner on board or in a typical trattoria.

Late night under the stars.

Second Day Giannutri

Leg 3

Third day Elba Island

With the first light of dawn, we weigh anchor in the direction of the southern part of Elba, to gain a few miles at night. This will be the longest leg of our crossing. Those who want to can keep us company and earn a front row seat to enjoy the sunrise in the open sea.

We will spot the Island of Montecristo, a wild and inaccessible sanctuary and Pianosa, flat and bright, preserves some of the most protected seabed in the Mediterranean. The backdrop to these two jewels in the blue is the coasts of Corsica that dominate the horizon.

Elba will be visible after the first hours of navigation, its silhouette will guide us. In a short time it will be possible to perceive the typical scents of the Mediterranean scrub. Lunch at sea.

In the early afternoon we will drop anchor between Porto Azzurro and Capoliveri. The turquoise waters will welcome us.

In the evening there will be the opportunity to go ashore and explore these typical villages. We will spend the night in the roadstead.

Third day Elba Island

Leg 4

Fourth day Capraia

Morning dedicated to exploring the white beaches, hidden coves and emerald water of Capo Stella, Laconella and Punta Fetovaia between paddle, snorkeling and sun.

After lunch , offshore sailing to the north-west. Technical and rewarding navigation for those who love to feel the boat running on the water.

Capraia appears as a primordial island, with red volcanic cliffs and intact nature. This will be our turning point. We'll enter the port, a small jewel with pastel-colored houses. The atmosphere is authentic and timeless. Protected and collected, it welcomes sailors with authentic scents and sunsets that set the red rocks of the island on fire.

Dinner on land and night in port.

Fourth day Capraia

Leg 5

Fifth day Cala Rossa

We cast off to admire the spectacular scenery of Cala Rossa. The volcanic rock opens like a wound, tinging the sea with coppery reflections. A powerful and primordial place, where silence has the sound of the wind between the cliffs and the water is so clear that it seems suspended in time.

On this scenario we will have lunch before returning to the sea, but not before taking another dip.

In the afternoon, with the Ponente in the garden , we will head towards the north side of Elba. After finding a sheltered bay we will relax to the rhythm of the waves and with a glass of wine we will toast to another day full of adventure to remember. We will sleep at anchor near Marciana Marina.

Fifth day Cala Rossa

Leg 6

Sixth day Portoferraio

After a dip in the turquoise waters even before having a coffee, we will skirt the north side of Elba, stopping between the Ghiaie Beach , famous for its smooth white pebbles and seabed rich in life, and Capo Enfola, a thin strip of land that juts out into the sea, with panoramic paths and sheltered coves. Great spot for an anchorage with a view of Corsica.

In the evening we will reach Portoferraio, the historic capital, dominated by the Medici Fortresses and overlooking a large and scenic roadstead. Ideal for a pleasant night at anchor. There will be the possibility of going ashore between culture, aperitifs and dinners overlooking the sea, or dinner on board in the company of our new friends.

Sixth day Portoferraio

Leg 7

Seventh Day of St. Vincent

Last day of your new adventure to remember. After a last dip near Capo Vita, you take the route to San Vincenzo with the certainty of having lived an authentic experience among the roadstead, marinas and protected nature of the Tuscan Archipelago. With the memory of a real journey, where each island changes scenery and rhythm. A week of real sailing, crystal clear sea and absolute freedom.
