This experience, in a nutshell

An unforgettable week between the enchanting Diapontine Islands, the Albanian coast and Corfu.

Sailing through these waters is an experience that nourishes the soul with the wild and unspoiled beauty of nature.

The Diapontine Islands offer a fascinating mix of landscapes, with their craggy cliffs plunging into the crystal clear sea, secluded bays hidden among the rocks, and white sandy beaches lapped by turquoise waters.

Albania presents itself as a hidden treasure, with its quiet, picturesque bays and traditional villages dotting the coast. Sailing along this coast gives you breathtaking views, with the mountains overlooking the sea and the small coves that invite you to stop for a refreshing swim in the clear waters.

And then there's Corfu, an island steeped in history and culture, with its bustling port towns and quaint fishing villages. Landing in Corfu means immersing yourself in a vibrant atmosphere, with its cobbled streets meandering between colorful buildings and cozy taverns where you can enjoy local delicacies.

The days spent on a sailing boat are a mix of adventure and relaxation, with the opportunity to explore isolated coves, snorkel among the colorful seabed or simply let yourself be lulled by the gentle rocking of the boat. Evenings are lit by the stars dotting the night sky, as you gather with your fellow travelers to share stories and laughter.

Our trip ends here:

Leg 1

Monday

Boarding by 13:00 in Corfu at Marina Mandraki under the Venetian fortress, in the old Town. After galley we will sail to Vido Island for a refreshing swim, then we will turn the bow towards O.Ftelias for the night. Dinner on a boat or in an Albanian tavern on the seafood beach.

Leg 2

Tuesday

We set sail in the morning and head to the port of Seranda, we complete the entry procedures in Albania and, for those who want, there is the possibility to visit the beautiful archaeological site Butrint and the Blue Eye. We resume our route northwest until we arrive at Porto Palermo, a beautiful bay in the area between Himarë and Saranda, it almost has the appearance of a wonderful natural pool, enriched by the wild and unspoiled nature that surrounds this place. Its beautiful beach is topped by the beautiful fortress built by Ali Pasha during the nineteenth century, which can be easily reached on foot. It will be wonderful to snorkel to discover truly unique seabeds.

Leg 3

Wednesday

We will climb for a few miles to Himarë, located between Vlora and Saranda, it is a small town with ancient origins, overlooking the sea and with the mountains behind it. Himarë beach is made up of white pebbles that descend to a deep blue sea. We say goodbye to Albania and head towards Erikoussa (Merlera), a truly unique island for its long and unspoiled beach, its clear waters and its lush vegetation that makes walks in the interior of the island truly unforgettable. Night under the stars.

Leg 4

Thursday

From Erikoussa we sail to Othoni, the largest of the Diapontie Islands, with a quaint village and a small restaurant offering fish caught by its owner. Absolutely to see and experience the mythical Kalypso beach with its white sand, its waters of 1000 shades of blue and the legendary cave where the beautiful Nymph held Ulysses prisoner for 7 years.

Leg 5

Friday

Route Mathraki: it is the smallest inhabited island of the Diapontian archipelago. Very beautiful, in the northeastern part of the island we will discover the beach of Portello, an expanse of fine pink sand 3 kilometers long where turtles nest. The island of Mathraki is criss-crossed by several paths that lead to secluded bays and beaches. The colors of this wild island are incredible.

Leg 6

Saturday

Returning to Corfu we will be able to admire the cliffs in the north of the island, a natural spectacle not to be missed. We will continue to Kassiopi, a quaint village whose port is still used by Corfiot fishermen. In Kassiopi there are three beaches: the first is made up of white pebbles, is located on the left of the village and offers the last swim before returning to Marina Mandraki in the evening.

Leg 7

Sunday

After a short breakfast we say goodbye and disembark is expected by 10:00 am

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

I spent a wonderful holiday with Giovanni and Stefania and Remo. Always attentive to comfort, to take care of life on board. Giovanni is a confident captain, with a lot of experience, nice, always ready to share his knowledge of navigation. I learned a lot with him and I thank him very much. Stefania makes delicious cuisine and makes sure of everyone's well-being. They give us lots of tips for things to do and see on the stops on land. I will certainly return to do another week of navigation with them. Unfortunately I didn't like Albania so much but the other islands were lovely. [hidden] is a beautiful and safe boat. Thanks for everything

We had a wonderful week for our first week-long experience on a sailboat. Stefania and Giovanni are exceptional hosts. Very welcoming, we immediately felt at home. Stefania is a remarkable cook, very attentive to introduce us to Greek cuisine. Everything is fresh and homemade! Giovanni is always on hand to help us discover exceptional sites and far from the tourist crowds. The boat is very comfortable. We shared a lot of authentic moments. We are ready to come back very soon! We highly recommend this cruise both for the kindness and competence of our hosts and for the beauty of the places we have visited. Every day was a new paradise. 1000 thanks!

Our first sailing experience was wonderful. Giovanni and Stefania are very special people and in love with sea life.... And you can't help but be fascinated by their stories. Arriving in Venice from the sea was a priceless magic.... Not to mention all the secret corners of land and sea that they made us discover. Stefania's cuisine is truly of a high level as well as being very respectful and attentive to the culinary tastes of her guests. The boat seemed very comfortable and perfectly maintained, you sleep well and the spaces are very livable. We can only recommend booking an experience with Giovanni and Stefania, I'm sure you won't regret it..... We are already thinking of repeating it soon. PS. 1 Finally, they also taught us how to recognize a true inhabitant of Venice..... But let's let them explain the trick to you????. PS.2 thanks to sailsquare for letting us discover it
