This experience, in a nutshell

New Zealand – Fiji / 1200 miles of ocean, wind and real decisions

The New Zealand–Fiji crossing is one of the most fascinating and educational ocean routes that can be tackled in the Pacific. About 1200 miles of open ocean, where navigation is never taken for granted and every choice really counts.

It is a route that requires time, attention and respect for the weather: for this reason I ask for a minimum availability of 12 days, knowing well that in this area the ocean dictates the pace. The large depressions that rise from Antarctica alternate with more stable phases of high pressure: starting at the right time is an integral part of the experience, and is one of the key skills of this crossing.

It's not just about "getting from A to B", but about experiencing the ocean, reading it and crossing it in the right way.

A true offshore sailing experience

During ocean voyages , the crew is an active part of life on board.

From preparing the boat before departure, to the daily management of navigation, each member contributes according to their skills, experience and personal limits.

On-call shifts are organized to ensure safety and sustainability:

  • about 4 hours in the day
  • about 3 hours at night,
  • with the possibility of adapting them according to the crew and conditions.

Extreme experience is not required, but curiosity, a spirit of adaptation and a desire to learn. Those who participate always return home with a new awareness of the sea... and of himself.

It was a wonderful sailing trip. Francesco was not only a great skipper but also a great cook. We had all the combinations of wind and weather, but under the guidance of the skipper you always felt safe. Thank you for the great trip to New Zealand. Christoph

We thank Anna and Ghego for the absolutely great time. Lots of adventure in the water and on land. The food was really good. Anna and Ghego are very welcoming and easy going, we loved our time on the Mezar :) Ghego is a very skilled sailor and Anna with her artist side add a magical touch to the experience.

I had the time of my life with Francesco and Anna on board of [hidden] 3. The destination was breathtaking, we had lots of fun with the other guests while visiting, snorkeling and just hanging out. The program was perfect. And finally Francesco is not only an incredibly reassuring and calm captain, but he is also an amazing chef. Same goes for Anna, whose home(or boat)-made focaccia and ricotta were amazing. Thank you for this perfect trip !
