Leg 1

Accueil

DAY 1

Reception from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Port des Iles, in Barneville-Carteret, a charming seaside resort, made famous by Mother Denis. You can walk along the famous customs path to discover the Carteret lighthouse, relax on the beach of La Potinière or discover the harbour that protects the marina. Free evening, no meal on board the first evening. Overnight on board.

Leg 2

Cherbourg - Guernesey

DAY 2:

Departure for Guernsey, to discover an island full of charm, refuge of Victor Hugo for many years. You can visit his house, nestled in Saint Peter's Port, the welcoming and lively capital.

Leg 3

Guernesey - Plymouth

DAY 3:

Tactical and sporty crossing of the Channel and the rails used by the cargo ships before reaching Plymouth, a city of history and known for its picturesque Barbican district and the famous Mayflower which left, without return, for the new world. Overnight in Plymouth or the surrounding area.

(86 miles)

Leg 4

Plymouth - Penzance

DAY 4:

We will leave Plymouth for Penzance, a town located at the extreme tip of Cornwall. From Penzance, you can take a bus ride to Cape Lizard, the southernmost point of Great Britain, or walk to discover St Michael Mount, a miniature replica of Mont Saint Michel, accessible at low tide.

Leg 5

Penzance - The Isles of Scilly

DAY 5:

Head for the Scilly Archipelago, the mild climate, thanks to the warm currents of the Gulf Stream, and its wide sandy beaches. You will be surrounded by wild nature and many uninhabited islets. The Scilly Islands are a little gem spared from mass tourism

Leg 6

The Isles of Scilly

DAY 6, 7, 8, 9:

Fairground anchorages in the Islands with visits to Saint Mary's, Bryher, Saint Agnes and Tresco.

Saint Mary's is the most populated and largest island, where you can discover its many coves and castles.

Tresco is known for its famous subtropical garden where exotic plants from all over the world grow.

Leg 7

The Isles of Scilly - Roscoff

DAY 10:

Head for the French coast for Roscoff, with night sailing depending on the weather conditions and the level of the crew. Roscoff is a small town of character with a charming exotic garden. It is located opposite the island of Batz, served by a regular shuttle in summer.

(115 miles)

Leg 8

Roscoff - Ile de Sercq

DAY 11:

At anchor in Sark, you will disembark in a dinghy to visit this small Channel Island, out of time, without a car. The visit requires climbing, by steep but secure paths, the cliffs overlooking the sea. We'll cross the coupée, a path that connects the Grande and Petite Sark, and experience magical moments in front of a dizzying panorama.

Leg 9

Sercq - Barneville-Carteret

DAY 12 :

Lunch will be taken at sea or at the port of Carteret. Disembarkation scheduled between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

A week of sailing practice from Cherbourg

I give the max rating: 5 points! A very friendly skipper, always ready to provide explanations and advice, and in an eternal good mood despite the mistakes of his sailors mouthed, and good cook with that (which does not prevent to give a hand)! A powerful boat (the Dufour 50) and very well equipped, which changes smaller formats to which I was accustomed (35 feet max for my part). In addition, the boat is an example whose wooden interior layout is very warm. Finally, the English Channel is a demanding sea that allows you to appreciate all facets of navigation, winds, tides, currents. The environment is complex and exciting. I therefore recommend without reservation both to those who want a relaxed walk, and to those who wish to (re-)discover the pleasures of the nav.

Rating 5 / 5: Excellent week spent in the company of Thierry. Quality sailing in complete safety in beautiful places, despite the sometimes variable weather conditions in this region of Normandy. The passage of the Raz Blanchard will remain a magical memory for me. Thierry is a very experienced skipper who is very kind. He has been able to adapt to his crew. Stay highly recommended!

A week of sailing practice from Cherbourg

We spent 6 days on Thierry's boat, unfortunately it had little wind. So we stayed 4 days in total in Cherbourg and spent a night in St Vasst. We still had the chance to see dolphins! However, the wind blocked us in Cherbourg. Thierry is a loner who wants to share his passion. I had a good stay with a very good crew. I wish you, if you want to go on a cruise, to have wind.

We had a great time with Thierry on his boat. Thierry is a seasoned sailing professional and does not hesitate to share his passion safely whatever the level of the teammates. Good wind and good sea in Thierry
