This experience, in a nutshell

An itinerary that combines swimming in pristine waters and beautiful beaches with the exploration of jewels such as the medieval center of Rhodes, the architecture of Symi, or even the Roman amphitheater overlooking the sea in Knidos.

In the center of Rhodes we will relive the atmosphere created by the crusader knights, walking along the medieval fortifications of the city, visiting the Mandraky, a historic port still surrounded by windmills, which in ancient times was protected by the famous colossus. Interesting are the museums, the Palace of the Grand Master, and the street of the Knights.

The nightlife, the multitude of clubs and leisure opportunities will bring us back to today's realities and life. In Symi, our first stop, we will dive into the bay Panormitis with its large monastery. The arrival in the capital is spectacular for the bright ochre and pastel colors and for the neoclassical style of the houses.

Fantastic arrival in Knidos Limani, the city of Aphrodite, where an ancient Greek amphitheater stands by the sea and where we can visit the ruins of the ancient city and its ports. If possible, we will also stop in Nisyros, an island-volcano where, by renting a car, we can explore the caldera.

Once in Kos , we'll drop anchor in the bay of Ormos Kamari, which preserves the remains of a cathedral by the sea. In the center of the town we will find the monument to one of its most illustrious citizens: Hippocrates, a great physician of antiquity and father of modern medicine.

Our itinerary

Our itinerary will take us to discover some of the most beautiful islands of the Dodecanese and Greece itself.

We will start from Rhodes and from here we will reach Symi, then Knidos, Nisyros and finally, Kos, our last destination.

Not to be missed are a walk in the spectacular medieval city of Rhodes, the gulf and the colorful houses of Symi, the amphitheater on the sea in the archaeological site of Knidos, the caldera of the volcano of Nisyros, and the beaches of Kos.

The sea miles we will cover are about eighty, we will try to do as many as possible under sail, considering that in Greece the wind never fails.

Do you arrive earlier than the day of boarding or do you have an extra day off?

Here's what you can do on land:

In Rhodes , you can explore the interior of the island.

In Kos, you can visit the archaeological museum of Kos and, in the same square, you can get lost among the stalls of the municipal market, scented with spices and populated by bizarre souvenirs: the perfect place to buy local products.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Riccardo is a good person but the boat was not prepared to welcome guests, particularly in terms of cleanliness and order. Some episodes, which by an expert person should and could have been predicted and dealt with calmly, generated unnecessary anxiety (lack of fuel in the tender, staysail rigged at the last minute in critical circumstances, disorderly mooring and unmooring maneuvers, instructions to the crew not given sufficiently in advance and clarity, etc.). A general perception of approximation has generated a feeling of insecurity and discomfort which has unfortunately negatively affected the serenity and enjoyment of the holiday.

Great sailing from Athens to Mykonos in the Cyclades

I participated in a week on a sailing boat with high expectations, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing in many ways. First of all, the spaces on board were extremely limited: I had to sleep outside every night due to the lack of comfort inside and I was not the only one to do so. In addition, the boat turned out to be quite dirty and poorly maintained, which negatively affected the stay. The skipper, although probably with years of navigation behind him, seemed to me not very suitable for this type of experience. In addition to obvious communication difficulties (he often did not hear), he completely lacked initiative. He seemed more on vacation than us: he didn't help with daily activities, and in general he didn't make himself useful, behaving more like a guest than like a person on board. From a technical point of view, I didn't feel particularly confident. The skipper, in my opinion, no longer had the physical strength necessary to manage the maneuvers: in seven days we opened the sails only twice, and always with great caution, out of fear. On a sailing holiday, you would expect to... sail. A real shame, because the company and the sea were wonderful. But with different and more professional management, the experience could have been totally different. I hope that the organization will think seriously about these aspects.

Athens, Delphi, Patras and the excitement of the Corinth Canal

The trip was very nice, we were able to visit Delphi which for me was the best part of the trip. Riccardo is a good person and a good sailor, but he hardly speaks English or French, which was a problem when it came to communicating with us and with the marinas. He could not understand his instructions and became very nervous when performing the maneuvers. I should have specified that you need some experience to travel with him. He gets very nervous and starts shouting in Italian. He is quite old, I think he would have to sail alone in Italy, which is his comfort zone. The boat is small ideal for 4. To be honest, I don't think I'll travel with him again. But Greece is wonderful
