This experience, in a nutshell

Boarding in Sanremo aboard our brand new and comfortable Bavaria 46 Cruiser, a 14-meter boat with 4 cabins, 3 bathrooms and all the equipment to better enjoy a cruise.

We will sail through the cetacean sanctuary, paying close attention to any probable sightings, towards Corsica and along its west coast full of fascinating and wild roadsteads. Probable stop in the port of Ajaccio, the lively capital of Corsica and then cross the Strait of Bonifacio to the Asinara natural park where we will stop for at least two days to discover an island that has remained as it was 150 years ago, sheltered from unbridled tourism, with a natural environment that cannot be found elsewhere and a spectacular sea.

You can choose to take a simple sailing holiday relaxing in harmony with nature or devote yourself to learning how to sail, the skipper is FIV offshore instructor.

The exact itinerary depends on the crew's expectations and the weather. The idea is to take you to live an unforgettable experience with two crossings and a navigation in the most beautiful sea in the world. Charm and real altitude!

Departure from Sanremo early in the morning with a route to Corsica, stop at anchor in the Gulf of Girolata then sail along Corsica to Ajaccio. From here we sail to the Asinara natural park where we will stop for at least two days to discover the wonders of this still unspoiled island, a true natural park. Arrival and disembarkation in Porto Torres

The experience overall was good! It would have been appreciated, though, if I had been informed somewhat in advance that I was the only one who wasn’t Italian, and with the change of skipper, nobody involved with the boat spoke a word of English. Only the “guests” did, which was of course great as they kindly translated things for me, but it still made the situation uncomfortable. Since everyone naturally spoke the same language, all conversations were in Italian - which I understand but unless I asked for a translation, I didn’t really know what was happening and I was naturally excluded from conversations which wasn’t the best feeling. It also felt a bit strange to be regulated on when we were allowed to use the bathroom or take a shower (mostly never). As a first-timer on a boat, I was also a little shocked that, due to the bad weather, we almost had to pay an extra €500 on top of the original fees just to stay in the harbour and for food. I understand the food part, but a heads-up beforehand would have been really helpful, especially that in case of bad weather, nothing is included in the price and everything extra has to be paid separately on top. That being said, everyone was very kind and there were no issues otherwise.

Although the weather was not the best, the experience was overall positive between the excellent company we were lucky enough to find and the evocative places visited. Our skipper Manuel stood out for his friendliness, patience and attention to everyone's needs, We had a lot of fun!

The cruise with Federico was spectacular! He welcomed us with great availability and made us feel at ease from the first moment. We sailed a lot, as soon as possible sailing with only the sound of the wind. We always felt calm and safe thanks to the skipper's great experience and his constant attention to every detail. His knowledge of the places allowed us to explore beautiful places. To this must be added that he cooks very well! If you are lucky enough to have Emanuele, his son, on the boat, the company will be enriched by a young boy full of intelligence and positive energy! We got off the boat reluctantly and we can't wait to be able to do more miles on the beautiful [hidden]!
