This experience, in a nutshell

We will travel in a beautiful scenery among green islands emerging from an emerald sea, among myths and history of ancient Greece, we will taste local cuisine, we will stop in exclusive bays, we will sail with the help of Eolo on sailing yachts led by experienced and qualified skippers ready to teach the techniques of sailing.
This is our proposal for the spring/summer 2024 activity, aimed at sailing lovers and those who want to try the experience of traveling and living on a boat. Sailing in these waters does not involve long transfers, in fact most of the journeys are on short stretches and in calm waters where there is no shortage of wind

We will divide the tasks of navigation and meal preparation, respecting our travel companions and above all the places we will visit, attentive to the ecosystem.

For those who wish, there will be the opportunity to learn the techniques of sailing yacht management and management. Useful for those who need to build miles.

Expert guides
The skippers (national sailing instructors) are great connoisseurs of the area, we have chosen to sail between these islands because we believe that it is the most beautiful place in the Mediterranean to fully enjoy a sailing holiday even for those who are at their first experience. There is no shortage of wind and you can sail peacefully in a poorly formed sea close to the countless islands of the archipelago. We know the most beautiful and affordable places, both in terms of offer and quality, which we choose according to the period and the weather forecast.

VADEMECUM FOR ARGONAUTS
Emotions and values - Choosing to go on a sailing cruise is a unique experience that enriches the mind and body, gives emotions, nurtures values - such as sociability, cheerfulness, collaboration, respect for nature, calm, reflection, sharing and efficiency. It teaches you to get in tune with the forces of nature: the wind, the sea, the sun.

Please note: the program may be subject to change in relation to weather conditions and/or on the instructions of the skipper.
All participants in our experiences will be registered with the sports association and covered by accident insurance.

Check-in: 6:00 PM

Our trip ends here:

Check-out: 8:00 AM

Leg 1

Sami ancient city-state

On the first day, depending on the arrivals, you can dive into the beaches of Sami, once the galley is set up we can have dinner in some typical taverns and visit some places for a drink.

Leg 2

The Ithaca Canal

Pointing the bow northwards we will go up the channel between Ithaca and Kefalonia with an intermediate stop in the bay. In the evening we will choose whether to stop in Fiscardo or in an adjacent bay or a small bay north of Kefalonia (naturalistic enchantment).

The Ithaca Canal

Leg 3

North East Ithaca and Lefkada

If the sea conditions allow it, a stop for lunch in the bay of Aphaia (northeast Ithaca) is to be scheduled.

With the mistral on the way -away with the wind- towards Lefkada/Meganisi.

Depending on the period, I will be able to indicate the most suitable choice.

North East Ithaca and Lefkada

Leg 4

Continent and Mitikas

Our tour continues to a beautiful white beach on the mainland in front of Lefkada, the final destination of the day could be Mitikas with an obligatory dinner on the sea based on local fish (special cuisine of the fisherman's wife).

Continent and Mitikas

Leg 5

Kalamos and Porto Leone

The bays and beaches of Kalamos are best experienced with swimming in emerald waters and island visits.

Leg 6

Kastos, light and crystal waters

Kastos should be experienced both for its pristine beaches, coves and for the small pretty village.

Leg 7

Atokos, Ithaca

From Kastos we head east passing by the uninhabited island of Atokos, take a dip in its emerald waters and then sail to Ithaca (Kyoni or Vati) depending on the time of day and the wind.

Atokos, Ithaca

Leg 8

Ithaca, Sami

We go to the starting base, we will surely stop in a beautiful bay southeast of Ithaca and if we reach Sami in time we will be able to make an excursion to its ancient acropolis.

Nice holiday in the blue of the sky and the sea!! On the other hand, the return to the gray sky and traffic of Bergamo was challenging

I was so excited to go sailing in Greece. This dream unfortunately took a quick turn into a nightmare. The captain didn’t take us to any of the sites listed on the itinerary. We stayed close to the original port the whole trip. We would ask him each day to go to one of the listed places and he would just ignore the suggestions. He would also blame it each day on the weather yet we had beautiful weather the whole trip, minus the first day. The boat itself was constantly breaking down. We had a broke toilet which was not a plus. But the worst part of the trip was when the captain used the outside shower in front of myself and a few of the other girls on the boat. He proceeded to take his swim shorts off deliberately flashing his private parts to us. All the lady’s became super uncomfortable on the boat afterwards. It was super inappropriate. Would highly recommended spending your money elsewhere. Was a horrific experience.

The holiday did not go as I hoped and the main sore point is given by the skipper. It felt more like being in prison than on vacation. Rino did nothing but list prohibitions, he had a know-it-all and always annoyed tone. He had the constant habit of walking around the boat early in the morning, banging his feet forcefully near the cabins and managed the doors of the cabins as he pleased, opening and closing them even while we were inside. What is even more serious, in my opinion he disrespected us on at least two occasions by taking off his swimsuit in front of everyone to shower naked without even notifying us. A really unprofessional behavior. As for the itinerary, unfortunately it was not respected despite the weather conditions were favorable. Apart from the first day when we witnessed a storm, in all the following days not a leaf flew. If there had been the skipper's will, we could have easily arrived in Paxos (which we did not see). We have returned several times to the same places despite countless requests to see something new. We sailed a maximum of two hours a day, we practically paid for his vacation since for the rest of the time he was lying in the shade reading! Finally, I found the location of the marina inconvenient (although suggestive inside the fortress) as you have to walk at least twenty minutes on foot between stairs and climbs to reach the supermarket. I would suggest a more accessible marina considering that when you do a week's shopping for 6 people you don't go back to the boat with a few envelopes.
