This experience, in a nutshell

Kythira is not among the most famous islands in Greece, but in my opinion it is among the most beautiful and authentic. I recommend arriving a few days earlier to discover its beautiful villages, museums, archaeological area and numerous scenic trails.

On Saturday afternoon, after settling into the cabin, a moment of mutual knowledge and a detailed briefing, we will do the galley all together. It will be an opportunity to understand what and how much to buy for the week.

We will try to take into account everyone's tastes and desires, but on the boat it is essential to be flexible: net of intolerances and allergies (which will naturally be respected), it is necessary to adapt to the menus proposed and what will be available.

Meals on board

I usually cook myself, with the help of some volunteers, but I am always happy to welcome suggestions and proposals. An evening at the restaurant will be a pleasant alternative.

Everyone collaborates in life on board; The cleaning of common areas and dishes is generally entrusted to the sailor, with the support of the crew.

The next day, depending on the most favorable weather conditions, we will set sail for a week of real sailing. We can tackle a 4–6 hour full sail crossing to the famous bay of Elafonissos, or opt for shorter routes to the shelters north of Kythira.

A total of about 70–100 miles are planned, with several possible stops along the coasts of the Peloponnese. The route will be defined day by day based on the weather and the protection offered by the coasts with respect to our bow. Relaxation and swimming in the typical atmosphere of the Greek islands will not be lacking, but the priority will always be the safety of navigation and respect for the time available. Disembarkation is scheduled for Saturday morning in Kalamata.

We will share spaces in friendship, participate in maneuvers and cook together, collaborating according to the inclinations and abilities of each one: a real shared cruise.

Single occupancy in a double cabin with private bathroom is subject to a 50% surcharge.

The Magdalena is not a charter boat. It offers ample space, comfort and all the essentials, without excess. It does not have air conditioning, watermaker or generator, but we can count on the silence and the natural breeze, which is never lacking.

It is equipped with a large tank for sanitary and drinking water: with careful but stress-free use, we will be able to face the entire week without the need for refueling. Each cabin has two portholes and a small fan, to ensure excellent ventilation.

Our itinerary

The itinerary, between the western Aegean and the Ionian Sea, explores the most beautiful and peaceful coasts of the Peloponnese, with naturalistic and archaeological destinations well known to the skipper. We'll sail carefully, making stops according to the weather and the group's preferences. Trolling is possible, carried out by a responsible volunteer. On board we will enjoy genuine food and share moments of conviviality, in a spirit of friendship and collaboration. Over the years I have welcomed guests of all ages and backgrounds, people who are often already experts on boats. We will go ashore according to the safety of anchorages and moorings and the wishes of the group, with the possibility of tourism, walks and typical dinners. The fixed points are embarkation, disembarkation and navigation program; For the rest, the goal is a pleasant, safe and relaxing holiday.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Our first tour. We therefore have no comparison options yet and give a benevolent 4 stars. I would have liked better communication, more involvement and more sailing.

Great week! The group was international and very friendly. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Fulvio takes great care of his boat, which is one of the most beautiful and authentic on which we have sailed. He made us discover lots of coves for swimming and small typical ports for walks

A wonderful experience that I am recommending to many friends. Fulvio is very prepared and patient, he taught us to live properly on a boat, to use the limited and precious resources on board well, taking us safely from Calabria to Greece. We saw dolphins, turtles, caught a tuna and treasured many beautiful memories. Thanks also to Salvo, his very nice helper who prepared a lot of meals for us by a chef!
