You can get there either by car or by train:

• From the north (Florence or Pisa): Take the A1 motorway towards Rome, then the Florence-Siena highway, and finally the SS223 to Grosseto. From there, follow the signs to Castiglione della Pescaia and Punta Ala.

• From the south (Rome): Take the Aurelia (SS1) towards Grosseto, then exit towards Follonica Nord and follow the signs for Punta Ala.

By train and bus: the nearest station is Follonica, connected to cities such as Rome, Florence and Pisa. From Follonica, take a taxi or bus to Punta Ala. During the holidays, it is advisable to check the timetable in advance, as the rides may be limited.

Yes, at the port of Punta Ala there are parking spaces available for those arriving by car. You will find both free and paid parking near the marina, with long-term solutions for those leaving for a multi-day holiday. Since Punta Ala is a busy location, especially during the holidays, it is advisable to arrive a little early to find an available spot or consider the option of a secure parking nearby.

Traveling by boat is equivalent to traveling light! Surely you have to consider heavier clothing than in summer, but for luggage for two days a backpack or a soft bag is fine, such as those used in the gym, which can be folded and placed in the lockers of the cabin. It is not possible, however, to get on board with rigid suitcases or trolleys: in addition to taking up a lot of space, if they crash they could ruin the boat or hurt you.
