This experience, in a nutshell

The Skipper of this experience is Paolo.

Our ASD offers an experience for true enthusiasts based on collaboration, sharing the values of life at sea and learning with technical notions and sailing, all surrounded byrelaxation, leisure, sun and swimming on board a splendid crewed sailing ship.

The adventure begins on Sunday evening in the well-equipped Marina di Salivoli where you will get a galley.

Early Monday morning we set sail and after a nice sail of a couple of hours, we take our first swim on the coasts of the island of Elba which, being so vast and full of beautiful bays, also offers very protected shelters to spend the night and wake up with a dip in the transparent waters. We can't miss a sail to the wild Capraia to dive into its crystal clear waters and spend the night in port to dine in one of its typical restaurants.

From the island of Capraia, we can also make a stop in the north of Corsica with the possibility of spotting cetaceans during the crossing.

We return to Salivoli on Saturday evening and disembark on Sunday morning by 10 am.

We had an unforgettable sailing trip. Huge kudos to our skipper, Paolo; in addition to his excellent navigation skills, he made us feel completely safe at all times. Paolo put together a fantastic sailing itinerary, taking us to beautiful coves and beaches where we could snorkel and watch fish in the crystal-clear, wonderfully warm water. Dario was an excellent and very nice cook, who spoiled us with truly wonderful meals. He even showed me how to cook a proper carbonara sauce. Whenever we had questions about the marine life, he was more than happy to explain things to us. When we anchored in the harbor, the crew made a reservation at an authentic and delicious restaurant. The atmosphere on board was fantastic, thanks to the really lovely people in the group. It was the perfect blend of adventure, safety, enjoyment, and great company! We would love to come back!

The experience on Paolo's boat was overall good, both for the accommodation and for the stops made and the places visited. The seas of Sardinia and Corsica are very beautiful and often it felt like swimming in a pool due to the clarity of the waters. The boat itself, even if it is not very modern, is spacious, well finished and with very functional bathrooms and large and livable cabins. The cleanliness was also great. Paolo the skipper and Dario, the sailor on board, know how to experience the sea and know the places where they took us well, illustrating their characteristics and clearly motivating some changes of program due to more or less favorable weather. A note that I would like to make, however, concerns the management of the presence of guests on board. We were immediately explained the rules of life on a boat, how to clean your hands after putting on sunscreen so as not to make the surfaces slippery, drying yourself before going on deck after swimming, not going up with any sand on you, leaving dirty dishes in a certain way, etc, etc .. All totally understandable and legitimate. The fact is that we were reminded of these rules very often, sometimes with a tone that came more of reproach than apprehension. The message, therefore, even if correct, takes on a somewhat uncomfortable aspect due to the way used. My advice is to improve communication and management of guests, people on vacation who are looking for a relaxed and pleasant environment, which obviously does not mean that you can or should put aside respect and good manners.

My niece and I spent a week full of emotions, new experiences and unforgettable moments. The boat is large, spacious, comfortable, spotless and cared for with great attention by the skippers. The company was fantastic and, during the week, a beautiful friendship was created between all the participants. To make this experience even more special were Luca and Tommaso: two prepared, professional and always available skippers. Thanks to their experience we have sailed in total safety, living emotions that only a sailing holiday can give. In addition to their human and professional qualities, they also deserve praise for the cuisine: every day they prepared fresh, varied dishes, with attention to the smallest details and above all delicious. A real 10 and praise! The places visited are simply stunning, almost paradisiacal, and leave memories that we will carry with us forever. We would leave tomorrow too, but with the same crew! A holiday that we recommend without any doubt.
