This experience, in a nutshell
THE CENTRAL CYCLADES CROSSING
Seven days of regular and never excessive navigation between the Southern Cyclades. A route full of relaxing and unique bays, which follows the wind and changes its face every 15 miles: from the mineral white of the volcanic rocks to the roadsteads of light sand, to be fully experienced in the comfort of our 51-footer.
Milos: a volcanic island that takes your breath away, where the land lights up with incredible colors and the fishing villages seem to be painted on the water. Between chalk cliffs, caves and inlets accessible only from the sea, the first stops in the roadstead serve to get into the rhythm, between swimming and short navigations.
Kimolos and Poliegos: Kimolos is essential, a small white and silent village where you can stop without haste. Not far away, Poliegos is just nature: transparent water on a clear seabed and often no other boat around.
Sifnos: Marked paths, monasteries overlooking the blue and sheltered marinas. Here it is also worth stopping in the evening, for dinner in a typical Greek tavern.
Folegandros and Sikinos: The Chora of Folegandros is built on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the void. Going up there at sunset, after a day on the boat, is one of those unmissable moments that mark the trip.
Ios: Often associated with nightlife, it is our end point of the route. Wide beaches such as Manganari and Mylopotas offer sandy bottoms ideal for the last swims in the roadstead. Chora, perched above the harbour, is a tangle of white alleys and windmills, with an unobstructed view of the entire Aegean.
In summary: A route with short and comfortable routes, Quiet roadsteads, short explorations on land and more open sailing sections, always manageable, alternate. Ideal for those who want to cross the Cyclades while truly experiencing the sea, with the right balance of navigation and stops—even at their first sailing experience.
